I wore out a pair that I’ve had for20 yrs. These new ones are fantastic but lucky for me someone else will get to wear them. Sizing is way off, says 8.25 would be a medium, not going to work. I wear a large so I will order another pair for me when in stock

Comfortable, warm, not too bulky, almost perfect!

I bought these because i was looking for a classic pair of wool gloves. I've never had a pair of wool gloves before so these set the tone for my impression. let me say they wont let you down. The long cuff keeps my wrist warm. they have a thick and heavy 4 layers, and the leather palm is probably the coolest addition. It gives good grip on door knobs and i can even get my ID swipe card out of my wallet while wearing these(granted i keep it right out front, but still, im impressed). they are a lot thicker then i anticipated, but it only makes them warmer. I walk around campus in these and my hands never get cold. its been 20 degrees and my hands have been warm for 10 minutes+. these would be perfect for driving, shoveling, taking walks, snowball fights. just dont get them wet ^.^.as far as sizing. I have big hands and a large fits me what i would say perfect. I'd say they are true to size. The distance from the tip of my thumb to the tip of my pinky when I open my hand is 7.5 inches. And a large fits comfortably. Its not too tight at alland its a very natural fitting glove. I bet the fingers would fit better but i have slender fingers so my palms fit better then my fingers do. Still up to my satisfaction. Very soft inside btw. Very pleased with the soft thinsulate interior.However, I like my gloves a little on the snug side, i'm debating buying a medium pair to see how that pair fits. Also on one of the fingers i feel like there is a thread sticking out or somethings coming undone. not sure what it is but I'm sure its just a rare factory defect. I havent noticed any warmth difference in that particular spot so i'm not worried about it.Im a college student and i wouldnt go blow $30 on a pair of gloves if i want confident they would be awesome. I took and chance and it came out in my favor. Ask me a question and i'll answer it to the best of my ability.

Very warm

I don't usually take the time to write reviews(thanks to those who do!!), but thought this item needed it. I paid the high end price of the name(Fox River) thinking I'd get equal quality. Well, for the most part that's true. The quality of the wool is nice and thick and the stitching seems pretty good and they would def be warm. However...The length of the glove is nice and long, with wrist part coming a good 3" onto my arm...but the fingers themselves and the palm area are narrow. I got a large for my brother, avg size man hands. Just a little off on the pattern...(not made in China is the good news, but in Haiti, so I thought they could use the business!). I would recommend if you're getting these for dress or going out, but if for general work around the house, I wouldn't get the leather palm, might not last long without getting torn. Other than the size(and since they're a gift I don't know yet how they'll fit the man hands), they are good quality.

These gloves are very warm and fit great. I’m glad I have them.

Fit wired. Palm padding cheap

I am a huge fan of wool gloves with leather palms and fingers and these, because they have a Thinsulate lining are particularly warm. My only problem with them is that the fingers--and especially thumb--are too long. If I really press the fingers down, they're not too bad, but the thumbs, no matter how much I tug on them, slide up so that they're about 1cm / 1/2" too long and that makes them very frustrating to wear. It would also be nice if they would work on touch screens.

Lovely, warm, practical. Perfect for mucking about outside, nigh long cuff and super soft leather palm. I generally find wool itchy but this is good.

I've owned these before and they lasted over 10 years. Great value and very attractive. Will keep my hands earn come January and February.

Good quality nice gloves. Would have liked the option to roll cuffs but inside liner is near top so not able to roll without liner showing. Smaller size for small women's hands did not appear to be available.

Bought as a gift for my step-father - he was quite happy to find the gloves fit well, as he has large hands, and he really likes the material. So far so good!
