Was a little hard to setup at first. I use mine as a wireless bridge for a device that's hardline only. Once you have Scanned Hotspots and connected to your wifi network...DO NOT click Scan Hotspots again, as this will disconnect you from your wifi. Also something I didn't see in the documentation is the Webpage for the device becomes unavailable after the unit has been powered on for a long time. Not sure if this is a security feature or a bug. Either way, once the unit has been configured it works like a charm. After powering ON it takes about 30 seconds to boot and connect to your wifi. I love this wifi dongle and the price, seriously considering getting a few more for future projects.

So far, everything works as it supposed to. Warning 1: when first configuring, use 192.168.254.254. After it connects as a bridge to wifi, that no longer works. Use vonets.cfg Warning 2: Avoid updating firmware if possible. Mine was downloading firmware overnight and while doing it, the web interface was not responsive and firmware downloading could not be stopped. Finally, it finished and after resetting, it was back to working. Other than that, it works well. It draws .25A, so easily powered via USB port.

It was a little hard to follow the directions, but quickly figured out how to use and setup as a wifi to Ethernet device. it has a feature to upgrade the firmware that checked the site and automatically will download, but the description make you think you have to download yourself, but was easy to use once you figured out. I had trouble with trying to figure out what external DC device I could use to power this(since I was not using POE),before I purchased. I found you can use the "Facmogu DC 12V 3A Power Adapter, 100-240V AC to DC 12V 3A 36W Power Suppy with Barrel Connector 5.5x2.5mm & 5.5x2.1mm, 12 Volt 3 Amp Desktop Adpater 12V 3A Switching Transformer AC/DC Power Converter" on Amazon worked perfectly.I purchased this to use on my Synology NAS for wifi to Ethernet (since Synology does not have wifi).The only problem I had was it kept logging me out in a few seconds, I wasable to fix by going to on Synology Control Panel -> Security -> then enabling "Enhanced browser compatibility by skipping IP Checking" This also fixed me not being DS File not logging in. so far working well

As long as you just need some internet it works great. I'm using it to control a Television mount. I tested the internet speed on it and I got 60 down and 20 up. My wifi on my computer is 260 down and 22 up. So it has its limitations but It definitely works when you have a device that doesn't have wifi and only has an ethernet port.

Total pain to even attempt to setup. Instructions are not great, but good enough to get you started and that's about it. I'm trying to set this thing up as a bridge for an older Canon copier that only has ethernet. I don't even need the hotspot feature so I am disabling that. The second you enter your wifi password, click apply and then reboot it does nothing. Never reboots, never confirms your settings and after that you cannot log back into the device. You have to press the factory reset button and try again. I never got it to work so sending it back.

Loud fan and gets hot. Otherwise works well

Start menu and configure menu were very slow and clunky. Plus, the thing got hot. So much so that I thought it might have overheated. Had a lot of buffering.

The manual is a translation, but once you narrow down your usage, it's manual-free. The wizard opens (on a PC) and the choices are clear. I have three of these in use and they have been trouble-free. Blinking lights in a dark room can be distracting so I've created light baffles in those situation, but kept the area around the unit open to allow cooling airflow.

Easy setup and brought my Squeezebox Radio back on net again. Must just remember to choose LAN as network access on the Squeezebox Radio. Very satisfied with this adapter!

J'ai utilisé cet adaptateur en mode répétiteur pour pouvoir utiliser la fiche RJ45 sur mon imprimante pro (RICOH SPC830). Comme elle a un port usb juste à côté du RJ45, le boitier est auto alimenté à l'allumage de l'imprimante, exactement comme je me l'étais imaginé.Il faut simplement brancher d'abord l'adaptateur à son PC afin de le paramétrer (sélection du mode, du réseau, du mot de passe wifi, etc.) et ensuite le brancher à l'imprimante.Tout s'est fait en même pas 10 minutes !

The media could not be loaded. Easy to setup using the startup book provided, although when you press the reboot button at the end of the process it just stays in 'please wait' loop, after a couple of attempts I simply ignored this (as advised by others in reply to my question on amazon) and disconnected the unit and it worked fine. I linked it to an X88 Pro TV box via the ethernet connection and it improved from around 10mbps (where it buffers movies) to around 50mbps so now it streams perfectly.

i liked this product as i have intergrated it in with my card readers to make them wifi now. Previously if i wanted to move my card readers around i would have to have a long ethernet wire which is messy and can clutter up the place. With this i can change the ethernet port on my reader and make it a wireless device
