Would be bettered if Patriot provided a short USB fly lead!
I was going to give this device 4 stars but decided I shouldn't be so mean as it works perfectly well in my W7 notebook's USB-3 slots. It is much wider than other USB sticks so be prepared to purchase a short USB-3 extension cable to make available any proximate slot. It's not the fastest of these large capacity devices but if it's being used for long term storage it doesn't so much matter the extra time it might take to initially load the data; and download speeds are good enough for my needs anyway. Using it in USB-2 slots (on a Windows 10 PAD) does slow it down (as would be expected) and appears to occasionally stop, momentarily, whilst long-term streaming, whereas my 2.5" USB HD doesn't. But I think the convenience of having so much readily available data in one's pocket outweighs that issue. It would be good if Patriot supplied a short fly lead to overcome the width problem; I would happily pay a little more for that addition.

Works Great with the Netgear Nighthawk D7000 Router
This stick brings a bit of a "boy racer" look to the USB market... Nevertheless, I bought it to work with my Nighthawk D7000 Wireless router, and to be tucked away and out of sight. Plugged it in the moment it arrived and its been working fine ever since (and the D7000 can be a bit picky about what sort of USB mass storage it will recognise). I've only loaded it with 13Gb of data so far, but its been working well and doesn't get warm. Just watch out for the width of this baby. If you have two USB sockets side by side, chances are you won't be able to use both sockets with this in one of them. Its also quite long (again not an issue for me with the D7000). I'd say about a 1/4 inch longer than most USB sticks out there. That being said, so far, so good. I'm very happy with it, hence 5 stars.

Certainly is Supersonic and Mega well named on all fronts, highly recommended for intensive use
I have a number of USB 3 drives and this is my favourite, It is tough, and exceptionally fast, the one thing is it is large, if that is a problem, (it overshadows 2 usb slots in some machines) then get a short usb extension lead. Other than that highly recommended. Performance wise I use it on a day to day basis, and it has increased my productivity immensely due to the read speeds. Cost wise it stacks up better value than the other high end speed drives such as the Lexar.

It's great to have such a portable and compact 512GB of storage. Not cheap, but it delivers. I will come back and post if I encounter any problems. Speeds seem so much good, I get about 320 MB/sec on read, with occasional spikes to 360, and ``interestingly`` so often get about 270 MB/sec on write, which is away better than advertised !!!

It is very large pendrive which is supposed to be very fast but unfortunately it is not. I tried on multiple computers (different Intel architectures) and writing of first 100mb is usually quick but then speed drops to 0 for several seconds. Evidence attached.I tried to use it also as bootable drive, unfortunately there were frequent lockups and it was unusable. For this price there is no excuse.

Wanted to recommend but can't
Read a review from tweaktown and bought this straight after.Pro'sThe case is sturdyCap secureAmazon gave me a refundCon'sIt's a brick easily the biggest usb key I've owned and will block ports that are close togetherIt got very warmIt was faultyIt was primarily going to be used for playing media on my tv. Read speeds were 299mbs in crystaldiskmark write 141mbs so read slightly below and write double advertised similar results to the review I read. BUT my drive had 2 major problems the first was it would hang in windows explorer you would click on it to access the drive and you would have to wait to read from the drive or write to it very annoying, it would only hang for 5 to 10 seconds on average but it shouldn't hang at all.Playing media from the drive was fine but copying a file to or from the drive gave very strange results it appeared to only be able to read and write in short bursts when writing data it would simply stop writing or slow to a crawl at multiple points when writing a file, it would bounce around from 0mbs to 180mbs and just pulse between the 2 until the file was finished speed results shown in windows. Reading from this to my ssd system drive, windows returned 377mbs initially and then dropped to under 100mbs then back up and then slow again.I have several other drives including a patriot rage usb 2.0 and a patriot supersonic usb 3.0 that I've had for years and had no issue's with either so I'm dissapointed with this item. I have 2 sandisk extreme 64gb usb drives and writing a video file from the ssd to either just sits at 180+mbs from start to finish. With this being such a new product and no other reviews for the drive yet I'm hoping I got a faulty one and it's not an issue with the controller or firmware thats going to effect all of them. I may buy another once I see a few 5 star reviews from other people but until then I have returned the drive for a refund. IF you get one that works properly it's a bargain £59 for 256gb with great read and write speeds.

Super brilliant!
Really excellent memory stick. Never had one like it. Super big storage space and am a big fan of the fact that it can be attached to my key rings which means that I can carry it around with me everywhere I go which feels convenient for me.
