Q: Are the sides smooth? Looking for a ring that wont cut into my husbands hand when carrying items

My husband has worn his at work, he is an auto tech..it's never cut into his fingers before. It seems smooth. It's probably one of the safer rings my husband has ever worn.

Q: How does this ring fit? I ordered a different one and it was snug enough not to want to wear it, should I go up a half size or a whole size?
