Used to repair two splitting mauls as they get a lot of abuse and had come loose. These wedges are steel and pound into the hickory handles without any issues. And being that this package contains many sizes, I’ve also been able to repair a hammer and axe!

It's past my bedtime but I was cleaning up my desk a bit, and found the nice letter Wisemen Trading put in with my order a few months ago. Subject was how they recycle packing materials and that's why the shipping box may look old. I like that. So I'm back to write about their fine product...little bits of steel that were just what I needed to put a pretty new $50 digging fork back into service.I knew what I needed to do to repair it, and I'm so glad that a little searching got me the terminology to locate the product.These little wedges did the trick, plain and simple. They arrived quickly and in good order.I used a very sturdy nail set to really drive them home into the wood, and finished the spring double-digging. I love it when I am denied an excuse to not finish items on the honey-do list. Two months later the garden looks great because it got in on time, and that's thanks to the quick repair made possible by a few bucks worth of steel wedges. This was a good deal. I'm very happy.

Old school steel wedges are the best and these fill the ticket!
