Q: Can you patch on the sides of the tire?

The tire makers say NO. And I would not do it on an automobile tire because of safety issues. I have used the patch on low speed atv used on the farm a with some success.

Most bicycle tires have tubes. Just buy a new tube.

Q: Can you patch without taking the tire off the car?

NO. Tire must be off the car and patch from inside.
