Problematic Mitre Saw riddled with issues
Before I start as it's not mentioned, this Mitre cuts 220mm maximum width and 65mm maximum height - disappointing seeing as I thought it was 280mm and 70mm.So far, I've only used this new Bosch PCM 8 S upgrade for 30 minutes and I can tell you it has been an incrediblely disappointing experience, riddled with problems that shouldn't exist in a mitre saw of any kind. This saw cuts straight but when you have to use the sliding feature you can see the line in your cut is all wonky past the inital cutting stage - maybe a little adjusting or practice on my part is needed but how can a straight forward cut be so difficult or need practice of any kind.I just can't get the thing to collect the tiniest amount of dust whatsoever, I've attached the dust bag and nothing is collected. I've also given my dust extractor ago and again it seems 100% of the dust just spills out the back.Although the 45 degree angle cuts nicely the leaver at the back is a little lenghy so it lifts the whole mitre saw up off the surface as you wined the leaver around. Finally the clamp is a little tricky so patience is needed with that. This mitre saw does cut MDF (what I've used so far) incredibly well leaving a very smooth and clean finish but this is the only pros I can find on this machine so far. I need anwsers from other users or Bosch so I can understand what is going on with this Mitre.UPDATE: I've decided to return it to Amazon, I simply cannot keep it is in current condition. It might just be a faulty one but I dealt it, but anyway I'm returning it. Realising late that it can't even cut a perfect line without leaving bumps here and there, so I'm done with it.P.S. The blade feels like it is loose and no tightening can sort it and it leaves an indentationon on the initial cut before using the sliding action. but doing the cut slower has sorted that out (but why should it).So now its onto a replacement in hope that its not dodgy or I'll look at a cheaper brand on here that seem to get raving reviews.

Useful piece of kit
Reading some of the earlier reviews almost put me of buying this, but I have a lot of Bosch kit and its good stuff usually so I bought it. Mine cuts the angles as stated. 90 degrees is square and the 45 degree settings make perfect mitres for picture frames etc. Just make sure the work sits flush with the guide and always use the clamp provided. Downsides - After a bit of use, the laser lens got caked in dust which solidifies possibly due to the heat from the lamp so it needs to be scraped off carefully, brushing wont do it.The dust extraction is useless as very little material finds its way there. So other than that, I am happy with the machine and its all I expected from Bosch.

For a beginner like me it is nice piece of tool
I am DIYer in woodworking and bought this two months back and have been using it quite often. For a beginner like me it is nice piece of tool. The cuts of 90/45degree etc are perfect, though you have to check the blade the first time.I haven't used laser as I lower blade without running to see where the cut will be.The dust collection is bit of a joke as it flies all over the place. This is the reason for one less star.

Excellent saw, only problem is the placement of the laser - you need to clean sawdust off it every few cuts. Otherwise, all else is good (get a 60 tooth blade though) and the angles of blade and guide are close enough to be perfect (my last one of these was out by about 2', not good for getting right angles).

Good mitre saw
I hunted around looking at various mitre saws, most of which were a little shaky and seemed poorly put together. OK so I payed a little more for this one but it does the job, is fairly precise and safe to use. The only thing to be aware of is that the cut length across is quite short so check out your requirements first! I used it to cut 15cm shiplap and it was fine! If you are a professional builder this will be too small I suspect!

Need experience using a Mitre Saw before choosing this product.
Not much User information supplied. No user videos to cover examples of what can be done with this type of saw.Relatively expensive.I was too disappointed at the lack of in depth user information supplied by Bosch.Decided to return the product (Loosing about £30)Bought an ordinary Bosch saw at half the price.

The ease of using it
Great saw, like a hot knife through butter used it for making trellis work & cutting decking boards. Awesome, although when I received my item the box was rather badly damaged so I had my consernes as to weather the item was ok, but everything was fine & there were no missing pieces. Will send picture regarding this damage, thanks

Cracking piece of kit
I adore this saw. Currently renovating a house and this saw has saved me tons of time. Initially it was one I'd lent off a friend before he'd even used it, months later I still had it and thought I'd best buy him a replacement.Powerful, perfect cuts, good adjustments, well made.
