Great hardware
I have 5 UniFi access points, 2 24-port UniFi poe switches, a UniFi Gateway and now an 8-port UniFi switch for my office. As you can tell, I'm VERY satisfied with this line from Ubiquiti Networks. If I didn't already have a bunch of ip cameras, I'd have UniFi cameras also!This switch is just as easy to configure as the larger 24-port switches!

Purchased the US-8 POE switch along with several other UniFi devices. All new and packaged (and works) well and as advertised. The switch does run very hot (72c) but as reported by many others, this appears acceptable.

awesome...took some time to figure out the software, but product support was good (albeit virtual) and I have a working network at home now!

Unifi 8 port switch is a quality switch
I have two of these Unifi switches with 10 Unifi outdoor APs connected to the two switches. The switches are connected by an outdoor fiber backhaul connected to the SFP ports. Fiber run outdoors eliminates lightning issues which we have had with outdoor CAT6 cable.The switch does run hot as others have mentioned even without a lot of power being pulled for POE devices.

Ubiquiti non si smentisce
Prodotto eccellente, uno dei migliori sul mercato, Funziona egregiamente. Se poi viene aggiunto e adottato ad una rete Ubiquiti, allora esprime il massimo delle sue performance. Si vede che è un prodotto di qualità già dalla scatola e poi basta prenderlo in mano per capire che non è un giocattolo. Lo consiglio vivamente, ma è preferibile comprarlo per aggiungerlo ad una rete composta da dispositivi Ubiquiti (USG access points Unifi PoE....), comprarlo singolarmente per una rete diversa significherebbe sprecarlo.

Great product; make sure it really is what you need though
Great product but make sure it really works for you. Do you really need 8 POE ports? Are you trying to run other switches of it using POE? If you’re absolutely sure then it’s a great centrepiece; powerful, robust, high availability...and a little warm.Be aware - this switch can run the Ubiquiti US-8 and the Flex Mini. But it will not power a US-8-60W, so don’t make the mistake of thinking it will.For many applications you will likely find US-8-60W adequate for purpose and quite a bit cheaper too. But do be aware you CAN’T run the US-8 off the POE port of a US-8-60W.The great thing is this is really easy to install using the Unifi Software. Absolute cinch to set up and then it basically looks after itself. Can be configured to auto install software updates with no intervention.

Super Switch, mehr als genug Leistung
Ich habe diesen Switch gekauft da unsere Klingelanlage jetzt über POE mit Strom versorgt werden muss. Insgesamt hängen an dem Switch jetzt 7 Geräte die von ihm über POE versorgt werden. Unteranderem auch ein UniFi Switch 8.Wie immer bei Ubiquity/UniFi Produkten, ist die Verarbeitungsqualität super was mich allerdings erstaunt hat ist die Größe vom Switch.Einrichtung ist wie bei allen anderen UniFi Produkten super einfach und nach ein paar Minuten war der Switch betriebsbereit. Auch schön ist die Möglichkeit den Switch über SFP mit Daten zu versorgen. Noch brauche ich das nicht aber wer weiß was er in Zukunft für Datenmengen switchen muss.Obwohl fast alle Ports ein gerät mit POE Versorgen, liegt die Gesamtleistungsaufnahme nur zwischen 30-40W. Dass lässt für zukünftige Projekte noch viel Raum nach oben. Der Switch wird aber selbst bei dieser geringen Leistungsaufnahme recht warm. Laut Controller liegt die Temperatur bei 64°C. Deshalb würde ich empfehlen den Switch nur an einer gut belüfteten Stelle zu montieren. Ich würde diesen Switch aber sofort wieder kaufen.

Convient aux amateurs et aux pro
Bon switch de niveau 2, le niveau 3 peut être porté par un routeur ou firewall du même constructeur et pas cher, la solution de management centralisé est gratuit équivalente à un SDM est fiable et intuitive, je recommande fortement ce produit aux amateurs et pro surtout aux entreprises qui ont assez de de faire plumer par les dominants du marche comme Cisco ou HP...

eleccion
el producto ha cumplido todas mis espectativas, lo busque por recomendacion y no me ha defraudado, es facil de configurar y mas de instalar, sobre todo si usas otros elemento ubiquiti, lo elegi por ser configurable disponer de dos tomas spf y poe con lo que no necesito alimentar los puntos de acceso. Lo recomiendo a todas aquellas personas que quieren instalar una minima red en casa o la oficina con pocos o nulos conocimientos y que estan hartos de usar otros productos de marcas mas conocidas para redes y que al final siempre dan problemas de instalacion o configuracion.
