Works as expected
I could not find the Yamaha equivalent of this which I’d previously purchased and this seems to work just as well, while costing less.

Plug in and play!
This bluetooth MIDI adapter has been a great addition to my setup. I have a low-end Roland electronic drum kit, and the sounds built into it are not that great. I've tried USB MIDI adapters before, but they really don't seem to work that well. So far, this Bluetooth adapter has worked flawlessly. There is a bit of setup on your device that you'll need to understand to get Bluetooth MIDI working, but that's going to be the case no matter what adapter you end up using. Plug this into your MIDI output jack on your keyboard/drumset/sequencer/whatever. It's powered by the device, so you won't need to charge it or plug it into a power supply. Once it's connected, it transmits MIDI data with no noticeable latency.I'm quite satisfied with this adapter. I've been able to play along to music using great drum sounds from my DAW. The price seems reasonable.

Works with non interruptions
I use just the transmitter out if an EWI wind synth connected to my iPad 9 to run SWAM violins and saxophones. It works great. Adjustments to the audio settings on iPad will help diminish delay, but I do avoid playing fast tempo bebop, for example, as at uptempo, a very slight latency is detected. Absolutely worth the money for live use application s

Item description misleading
1) There is no LED light on the device as described.2) A huge number of MIDI devices do not supply power to pin 2 and so this will work on very few devices (if it even does work). The Roland BT adapter uses AAA batteries to supply the required power.Do yourself a favor and just pay the extra for a Roland device.
