Works as expected
I could not find the Yamaha equivalent of this which I’d previously purchased and this seems to work just as well, while costing less.

Plug in and play!
This bluetooth MIDI adapter has been a great addition to my setup. I have a low-end Roland electronic drum kit, and the sounds built into it are not that great. I've tried USB MIDI adapters before, but they really don't seem to work that well. So far, this Bluetooth adapter has worked flawlessly. There is a bit of setup on your device that you'll need to understand to get Bluetooth MIDI working, but that's going to be the case no matter what adapter you end up using. Plug this into your MIDI output jack on your keyboard/drumset/sequencer/whatever. It's powered by the device, so you won't need to charge it or plug it into a power supply. Once it's connected, it transmits MIDI data with no noticeable latency.I'm quite satisfied with this adapter. I've been able to play along to music using great drum sounds from my DAW. The price seems reasonable.

Works with non interruptions
I use just the transmitter out if an EWI wind synth connected to my iPad 9 to run SWAM violins and saxophones. It works great. Adjustments to the audio settings on iPad will help diminish delay, but I do avoid playing fast tempo bebop, for example, as at uptempo, a very slight latency is detected. Absolutely worth the money for live use application s

Item description misleading
1) There is no LED light on the device as described.2) A huge number of MIDI devices do not supply power to pin 2 and so this will work on very few devices (if it even does work). The Roland BT adapter uses AAA batteries to supply the required power.Do yourself a favor and just pay the extra for a Roland device.

No lights, but works
I almost gave this device a one star review for not working and was ready to toss it in the trash. Fortunately, I didn't just go by the directions and tried it. In the instructions it states that two lights will begin blinking rapidly when the device gets power. I tried this on two different midi keyboards, a drum machine, a guitar pedal board, and a midi effect looper. I never saw any lights come on and don't even see any LEDs on this device.I then decided to just skip the lights and give it a try. I sent some midi program changes and verified that it works. I could not get it to work to synch my Boss ES8 with the software, but that device is known to be finicky and only work with specific midi cables. I was however able to send commands and change programs on the Boss ES8 using this device. I was also able to see results when sending signals to other devices in the midi chain as well. This device works but the lack of LEDs when specifically described will be a great source of frustration and I expect many will just return it thinking the device doesn't work. It would receive a much better rating if this was straightened out.
