Tips for The Perfect Seal
Product worked great after watching a few install videos. Let me save everyone some researching with some tips:- Push down only into the first groove. If you push it down too far, then it'll start too bend and won't seal. Just pull it back up into that top groove that it'll sit in.- Rotate, rotate, rotate. It sounds too simple to work but this will make sure that it sits properly. If your gasket is still slowly leaking, this should help it immenselyThese helped my leaking issues. Props to teppichkopf and his YT video.

Easy to install and eventually worked.
Just what I needed to fix my toilet tank slowly draining. Only 4 stars because the rubber is stiff enough out of the package that it doesn’t make a great seal at first. After replacing it the tank still slowly drained for a couple days until the rubber softened up/ formed a better seal.

Instantly fixed a toilet that was “ghost flushing”
If your toilet flushes on it’s own every so often that’s because the seal between your tank and bowl is failing. Don’t replace the toilet or tank, just replace the seal. This happens over time and it’s a simple DIY replacement.

Far superior to original seal
I have replaced the original seal with replacement seals on my two Mansfield toilets numerous times. The original seals are rubber and break down over time. These aftermarket seals are made of silicone instead of rubber and should hopefully last much longer. I had a slow leak even with some new original-type rubber seals purchased from my local big home supply store, but was still leaking very slowly. Before throwing in the towel and getting a new toilet, I found these here on Amazon and decided to give these silicone seals a shot. Fixed the leak instantly and I am hopeful that because they are silicone I will not have to replace them for a very long time. I have another Mansfield toilet and just replaced the seal on that one also with the second silicone seal in the package even though it was not leaking because I know it will eventually.

You need this if your handle is stiff or broken
A reviewer of the Mansfield toilet handle pointed out that if your handle broke or is hard to push down, your real problem is that your little seal needs to be replaced so I ordered these for two toilets as well as a handle. If you replaced the seals first the handle probably wouldn’t break ! The difference in ease of flushing was astonishing. He was exactly right. Handles break because seals get old and stick to the canister. Now, the directions sounded easy and clear but I couldn’t figure them out so I made up my own way. Turn off the water and the toilet flushes, yes . But it says to turn something 1/4 of a turn while leaving the hose attached. That I could not do and was afraid of causing a larger problem. Instead I pulled out the little hose from it’s hole, slipped both hands down around the canister and ripped off the old seal which disintegrates easily. Then I worked this one down from the top, over the whole canister, stretching it a little to go around the mechanism down to the bottom. Now the one tricky part : The new seal fits into a little track so it actually has a tiny lip of plastic above it and below it which you can feel with your fingers . If you do it wrong the toilet will run continuously. I did my first one fine no problem . But the second one was just a tiny bit out of that little track and if you do that you’ll hear that even after the toilet tank is filled it will still be leaking into the bowl at a drastic rate. I turned off the water again and fiddled with it —now remember this is down underneath the canister where you can’t see — I smoothed it into place and I felt it almost “click”into place. Perfect! This is more than a simple review but it will help a novice like me.

So far as good as the official Mansfield version
I have two Mansfield 160 toilets in a house I bought new 5 years ago. After around 4 years the toilets became hard to flush, one to the point where the toilet handle/lever broke. I finally got around to googling before calling a plumber and found the info for the "Mansfield 0030 Flush Valve Service Pack, Fits 210/211 Flush Valve" (630-0030).I bought one of those and that part fits the 160 as well. The removal/installation for the 160 is pretty straightforward/easy, though it still took me a few attempts to get it sealed properly so that it wouldn't run after flushing (tip: if all else fails wash the bottom of the black plastic part of the flush valve that hits the valve seal). ~10 minutes of futzing and much cheaper than a plumber!Buoyed by that success I decided to replace the valve in the other toilet and being in a cheapskate mood I rolled the dice on this 2-pack. I had the same experience with the install where it took a few tries to get the seal on properly but I now have two easy-to-flush toilets.I don't know if this will last as long as the official Mansfield part (for all I know it will last as long or even longer) but even if it needs to be replaced every couple of years, it's not a big deal especially given how inexpensive the part is and how much a visit from the plumber would cost.

Easy to install
These rings definitely did the trick and stop the leaky toilet valve. Easy to put on just make sure you put them on the first groove and not the second groove so they fit better
