Sew Easy Vanishing Fabric Marker – Automatically Disappearing Ink in 48hr, Extra Fine Purple 0.5mm Pen for Sewing Quilting Dressmaking Tailoring

These pens are great and fade within a very short time. I use it to mark lines where I want to Free motion quilt and within a few hours the lines have completely disappeared. Love it so bought extra ones. It was recommended by a quilter so I knew it was worth a go.

I have to say that I was very dubious about using this pen as I needed to mark on predominantly white fabric. I held my breath as I drew out my lines convinced that I has just ruined hours of work. The ink is pretty dark and I resigned myself to the fact that I had probably ruined my fabric. I continued anyway. The following morning to my utter relief there wasn't even a shadow of a mark left from the pen!!! I was gobsmacked! A VERY useful product with true disappearing ink :) total thumbs up! X

I use vanishing ink pens a lot for marking out felt. The nib on these pens is very fine indeed, and therefore probably excellent for use on fabrics such as cotton, linen, canvas, etc. However this particular pen does not work well on felt because it lifts the surface fibres and therefore does not draw a clean, clear line.

Very good, does what it says on the tin. Doesn’t last more than a couple of hours so if you’re not working on it straight away use chalk!

Easier than I thought to draw with. However, a major drawback is that literally seconds after drawing, the colour faded to nothing. Not helpful. This meant I had to rush my project.Unlikely to use again, as the speed the colour fades (packaging says it will not fade for several hours) makes it completely impractical. Back to tailors' chalk!

Arrived within the stated time and was well packaged. The pen has worked well so far. I think it depends on the fabric you are wanting to use it on and the length of time you want it to last. It says on the packaging it varies from fabric to fabric. But I have not had a problem with good quality cotton fabrics. But it does fade quite quickly.

This pen is amazing. I used this to mark up my pattern on ivory coloured fabric. The pen has a very very fine tip to you can get very neat lines. There is no bleeding in to the material either. I looked at the fabric after 18 hours and the marks had all gone! I love this pen and highly recommend it. I will never use anything else again.
