Cleared out the dry scalp!
This is a review for both the Shampoo and Conditioner that go together. My 9-year old daughter was having some terrible dry scalp.. just TERRIBLE. She looked like a dandruff factory, honestly. Her scalp was rough with dry spots, we were scrubbing her scalp to get them loosened up so the particles would come out, etc. Coconut oil before baths to loosen them up, you name it. We were using another VERY popular tea tree shampoo designed for kids, purchased here on Amazon, went thru 3 bottles and just weren't getting anywhere. In fact, if we didn't scrub her head with the brush every night, it would get worse. I went back to the drawing board and ordered these to try. I am truly floored at how much better this brand of shampoo and conditioner work. Her dry spots are down to 2, maybe 3 on her whole head and even THOSE are tiny. We've used these every other day for about 2 weeks now and the difference is amazing. We shampoo in, leave it there for a minute or two while she washes her body, then follow up with conditioner (leaving it in for a minute or two before rinsing). Wonders worked.I will say that the tea tree oil aroma is stronger with this product and I'm sure that's what's making it work better. We are careful to keep it out of her eyes (my daughter has Down syndrome so one of us is usually helping with her bath to make sure it doesn't get in her eyes). All in all though, we are VERY happy with how this product is working for our daughter's scalp.

This stuff works!
This is the best shampoo and conditioner that I have ever used. My scalp broke out with itchy, scaly, dandruff. I have never had it and I didn't know what to use. I don't like to use products with chemicals but I was desperate because it was itching so bad. So I tried the big market brands with chemicals that I would never want on my skin and it did absolutely nothing. I tried some other brands and no luck either. I got this brand and it was gone within three days and never came back. It was better after the first day but completely gone after three. My daughter then started getting psoriasis on her scalp and she is using it now. It is already healing those flaky scabs on her head. My husband doesn't have dandruff anymore. I only leave reviews for products that really work. It takes so much trial and error and I don't want to steer anyone wrong. I can honestly say that this product does what is says and it doesn't have any scary chemicals.

Tingly goodness
This conditioner as well as the tea tree shampoo made by the same company has been my go-to shampoo conditioner combo for about 2 years now. I have a very dry, itchy scalp (either dandruff or seborrheic dermatitis, though I have not seen a dermatologist about it), and have tried several different products with very little relief. This is the only product I've used that consistently relieves my itchy scalp and helps to reduce dandruff build+up. I am a white female with medium thickness, wavy hair. My hair trends to be very dry and frizzy. I use Maple Holistics tea tree shampoo/conditioner combo along with a silicone scalp brush to help massage my scalp and break up the dandruff, as well as to work the conditioner into the scalp to get the maximum tingly scalp relief effect. I shampoo for about 30 seconds to a minute, then leave the conditioner in for at least 2 minutes while continuing to shower. Afterwards, I do need to rehydrate my hair with either curling cream or argan oil (depending on the style I'm going for) to help keep my hair moisturized - otherwise, this product can leave your hair somewhat dry and frizzy, depending on your hair type. The conditioner does a great job with scalp care, but is not especially moisturizing to the hair itself. I like that this product does not have a very strong, overpowering scent. It is very lightly scented, and the conditioner has a very thick consistency so you really don't need to use too much for it to do the trick. If you have dandruff/itchy/dry scalp issues, I definitely recommend this product!

Great shampoo and conditioner but why did they change the formulation???
I’ve been using this shampoo and conditioner for over a year and I am convinced that their formulation has changed to have less tea tree oil. Why? One of the best things about this was feeling a good tingling feel on the scalp especially when leaving in the conditioner for a few minutes. That’s now gone. Of course having less tea tree oil makes it less expensive to manufacture while still charging the same price. No surprise there as so many have jumped on this bandwagon, right? I’m so disappointed not only because of this but because I felt that my scalp truly benefitted from the extra tea tree oil. I’m thinking of jumping on to another product.

Perfect for dry scalp, only wish it lasted longer!
If you're looking at this product then I'll assume you've probably gone through several different brands and types of dandruff-treating shampoo/conditioner only to get mild to no improvement. I've had problems with dandruff since I was a teen and have never been able to get it under control with the typical Head and Shoulders/T Gel routine. This is particularly disheartening for me as my hair is waist-length and I'm pretty proud of it, but seeing dandruff in it is always embarrassing. I've used jojoba oils, Shea Moisture products, a thousand hair masks, etc. etc., and though some of these worked some times, none ever got the job done completely.I got my first bottle of this conditioner at the beginning of 2020 after giving up on another brand and have to say that it works far better than anything else I've used. When you apply it, it feels very different from other conditioners; it actually feels like it's doing something. It has a distinct smell and cooling sensation that was a bit off-putting the first few times I used it, but now I really enjoy it. The only way I know how to describe it is that it makes your head feel minty. The scalp itching that is usually constant for me goes away by the time I'm out of the shower and within a few days my skin issues are totally fixed. I use it once a week, massage it into my scalp, leave it for two minutes, then rinse it. I've been using it for several months now and will probably continue to buy this for as long as they make it. It's taken four years of searching but I think I've finally found my conditioner.Pros:* Super, super, super effective, I can't stress this enough. Everyone's scalp is a bit different, but this is the only dandruff conditioner I've ever used that worked.* It's also a great conditioner! Personally, I don't use this on all of my hair (I have waist-length hair so that would use up this product in a week if I did that) but running my fingers through my roots always feels great after using this.* The effects last for several days! I pair this with a cheaper, sulfate-free alternative that I use on my ends so as not to use this stuff up too quickly. I've noticed that for me, I can apply this stuff to my scalp once a week for two minutes and not have any issues. So it doesn't have to be an everyday thing.Cons:* Like most nice conditioners, it's not cheap and you'll go through it quickly. I'm sure if I used it on all of my hair that my hair would be maddeningly soft, but it's just too expensive for me to do that.* Again, like most nice conditioners, it doesn't spread all that well, so you end up using more of it than you would a cheaper conditioner. Not really a problem if you use it sparingly as I do, but if you're conditioning all of your hair with every shower, you will be revisiting this Amazon page a lot.And that's pretty much it! I definitely recommend giving this a try. I will also throw in that I originally paired this with its matching shampoo, and while the shampoo sort of works, it's nothing compared to how good this conditioner is, so I recommend switching to a more affordable shampoo as you'll only need the conditioner.Best!
