Don't replace your laptop - buy one of these.
Clever lead and will save me great hassle. My laptop only has a VGA output and my new projector only a HDMI input. Rather than having to buy a new laptop to show presentations, this great lead has solved my challenge and saved me money. It also means I can plug it into my new TV which has HDMI inputs.

Can't fault the cable but it should be made clear ...
Can't fault the cable but it should be made clear that a VGA to HDMI is different to an HDMI to VGA. No idea why & everyone I spoke to did not realise this. How do you tell the two cables apart??

No good for HP
Analog to Digital (To VGA / DVI to HDMI / DP) is always hit or miss depending on machine model.Cable feels much more durable than the usual plastic ones you get.That being said, this does NOT work for the HP Proliant mini-servers. - Still 4stars though as I knew going in may not work.

PLEASE BE AWARE, DO NOT BUY!
If you want to waste your money (like I did!) then buy this product... I work as a Management Trainer and having just bought a new laptop with only HDMI sockets I thought that with this cable I could connect to projectors and conduct my training courses, definitely not! I was embarrassed professionally and had to ask for any spare available laptops with VGA sockets to do my courses. I took my laptop back to PC World as I thought it must be a faulty HDMI socket, when they saw the cable I bought they were laughing and said: "this shouldn't be sold as it has no reason to exist! HDMI and VGA are different technologies so it's an irrelevant/useless product. For the same money I have now bought a HDMI transformer (with a little box) that plugs in to a VGA cable. This product on its own DOES NOT WORK, you have been warned!

Cables work well!
Simple cables that you can find everywhere, therefore they were packed really carefully, everything is beautiful, without damage, easy to open! Worth it!
