Hilarious!
What does it say about an author who uses the ‘done to death plotline’ into something so soul-touching and heart warming that all I wanna do is to consider the book as a teddy bear and sleep with hugged tight!Adorable and freakishly charming, The Bodyguard was an absolute delight to sink myself into after a hard day. The rom-com is complete with a fake girlfriend and a forced proximity plot with a hilarious ex-boyfriend that gets kicked in the balls and roasted to hell. Hannah Brooks the bodyguard or glamorously referred to as the Executive protection agent is given a new task to protect movie star, Jack Stapleton. Hannah and Jack both had my heart, they are both scarred in many ways and the situation of the fake dating for the happiness of the cancer-stricken mother was used to the maximum potential by the author. And hats off to her, cracking us up with a scene that included even cows. The romance is feel good and the chemistry between Hannah and Jack was just off the charts. In fact, there was nothing not to love in this latest release by Katherine Center and honestly, she is my favorite go-to author for some stress-buster relief. For all those who love to read at least one book, go ahead and pick this one up, not for the swoon-worthy hero or the kick-ass heroine or their antics, but for the sheer joy of laughing out loud for the predicament of the ex and for the humor that reigns supreme in this story.

The Bodyguard
This was such a cute closed-door romance! It didn’t have a third-act breakup and the female main character reminded me of Sandra Bullock from Miss Congeniality. It was a lil cliche but good nonetheless cuz he gets a nightmare and then she comforts him but I guess the reason why he gets a nightmare was pretty predictable.Tropes:- fake dating- forced proximity- one bed (but they didn’t share it)- bodyguard x celebrity romanceWould definitely recommend to read at least once!

breezy Read
If you are looking for an easy, funny summer/weekend/vacation/ decompress read, look no further. The writing style is very engaging and characters are well delineated (if a little too good to be true - but hey, fairy tales are for such escape), and pacing is good. Plot is predictable but that’s not a downside. I enjoyed this one!

Favorite Summer Read of 2022
Tenderly sweet, genuinely funny, heart-warmingly charming, exquisitely beautiful, full of sunshine & rainbows with just enough depth that makes you wonder about the simple things in life and UNPUTDOWNABLE!OH! And it's a rom-com with a movie star male lead who is not at all not swoonworthy. Note the double negatives. And an adorable, not exactly short, female Executive Protection Agent, aka, a bodyguard (Yay To Women Empowerment!)...With a false dating trope & forced proximity and *drum roll please* a jackass of an ex who gets TOTALLY roasted!Need I really say more to convince you to GO & PICK this book!?This book had me grinning from ear-to-ear like a total loon so much so that my cheeks hurt. I ADORED Hannah & Jack (I am yet to find a man named Jack who isn't the epitome of charm. We should probably get this name registered as "The name that is only to be used for devastatingly charming men"), the noogies & piggyback rides he gave her, their back & forth, every hug, every laugh and most importantly the "I wasn't hitting golf balls."All the pain, the insecurities, the phobias, the heartbreaks, the goodbyes, the tears led to the perfect "after". I especially adored the "after" ❤I believe I have a new favorite author. Thank you Katherine for sharing the magic of this story with your readers.
