eCobbler Blakey'S Rubber Heel And Toe Segs - Size 3

I purchased a pair of these Blakey's ® Rubber Heel and Toe Segs to use on the slightly worn down heel of my Reebok Sneakers.Judging from the slight triangular shape of this Rubber Heel and Toe Segs, it should fit perfectly on shoes that has already been worn down.Since my Sneakers sole is made of rubber I realised that the enclosed nails won’t be sufficient to secure it in place.I adhered it in place using super glue, I still used a few of the enclosed nails to hold it in place until the glue was set.The material is about 5mm thick and appears to be sturdy and strong, however time would tell about its durability.So far it seems to be holding its own.I would buy a few more pairs.

Does the job of protecting heel from wear,saves on repair bills and is an improvemernt on the noisy metal alternative. Lasts for a reasonable period . Suprisingly easy to fit with a small bradle. Steer clear of other makes that are thin and plasticy and offer no protection 4/5.

These are great rubber heel protectors which I use for my daughters shoes who seems to wear out the heels on new shoes within weeks! There are plenty of tacks to secure the protectors (too many in fact!) and last a relatively long time. Still need to change them after a few months but that is down to the way daughter walks rather than the product itself.The only place I seem to find the rubber heel protectors is on Amazon. All my local shops only sell the metal one's which my daughter refuses to use as they are too noisy in school corridors! Good product that I have bought several times and would buy again.

Unlike metal blakeys these are not shaped to fit and are actually about 5mm thick. it is simply a hard rubber wedge. Unless your heel is already badly worn (5mm is the thickness of an average sole ) they will stand proud by some margin and this will affect how you place your foot when walking. I am contemplating removing them because of this and the fact that this size is really quite small in width and is only just adequate on a size 10 shoe heel. The combined effect is to make the shoe quite 'lumpy' when walking. On the plus side they are easy to fit come provided with plenty of pins and do stay on once fitted. the product appears very well made but could have just done with being shaped better.

I cut these down to fit my boot heels, but was unable to get the nails in sufficiently to hold them in place - also felt they would be far too thick as they are at least twice the thickness of the original rubber part of the heel.

I am heavy on my heels and these are staying the distance and have saved me a fortune in cobbler repairs. Easy to apply and in the future I will look after repairing all my shoes. The shoe glue I used with this product was very strong, I was impressed.

Purchase these quite a lot for my daughters school shoes. Wear down quickly but she does walk to school and back each day. Nails work well as the rubber is soft enough to pierce. Easy to trim too with scissors. Will keep buying, always have a pack in spare!

Delivery was prompt & a little fiddly to fit but definitely do the job they are intended for. Will order more for my other boots.
