I wasn’t expecting this story – not in any way, shape or form. I certainly wasn’t expecting to feel so much for both Avi and Kyran. The premise was interesting enough to grab my attention, and initially, the story (although good) followed a well-worn path. Stepbrothers are forced into proximity to each other, then forced to rely on each other and get physical. I was also a teeny bit squeamish about the whole thing with Kyran being paid to do things with Avi.But very quickly, the story became so much more than that. It was obvious something was going on with Kyran – the way he bolted from what he was doing with Avi, the confusion and anger he displayed – it was intriguing and mysterious and kept me reading.The sex scenes were hot, and the banter between the two of them was even hotter – Not_His_Baby has got to be one of the best handles I’ve ever seen. But what kept me reading and interested throughout was what was beneath all of the sex and chemistry between the two men – Avi’s insecurities, and Kyran’s need to be perfect. And that is where this book hits you with both barrels.I appreciated the fact that the author provided warnings on her website although I chose to go in blind. I would definitely recommend reading the trigger warnings if you have any concerns about reading this story because although I think the entire situation/reveal was handled very well, I don’t have the same experiences in my background and YMMV.I really enjoyed reading this story – much more than other books I have read by the author – and I especially liked the fact that Kyran took some time to figure things out for himself. Avi wasn’t his saviour even though he called him his Angel. The way he confronted the people who had hurt him in the past was also handled very well – he got to speak his truth and it made me feel so happy and almost triumphant for him.Totally unexpected, hot, steamy but also thoughtful, this was a very good read.

My heart has been through the wringer reading this angsty story of Aviel Vega and Kyran Harbor. Two 17/18 year old boys thrown together when their respective parents, Avi’s mother, Hannah, and Kyran’s father, Tom, meet and get married.Tom Harbor, a very wealthy businessman is a divorced man with two children, son Kyran and daughter Bridget. Hannah Vega, a widow, whose husband died in a work accident many years ago, only has Avi, her son. She has to work hard in a Car Dealership to keep them with a roof over their heads and food in the larder.It’s a wonder either of them got together, Tom is a zealous Catholic and Hannah is a free thinking, non practising Jew.So, this is the ‘new family’ in which Avi and Kyran now become stepbrothers.When religious faith becomes a big factor in stories my hackles skyrocket, it doesn’t bode well for my reading pleasure.However, this is not my first foray into Nyla K’s books, just finished ‘Trouble’ 💯🌟🌟🌟🌟. I’m fast becoming an addict on Nyla’s writing and storytelling skills and I’m liking it a lot. A real ‘no stone unturned, no holes barred’ vibe.Even though some of the scenes, events in ‘ For The Fans’ are heartbreaking, I couldn’t help becoming so invested in the connection between Avi and Kyran. It was hard at first reading how cold Kyran treated the free spirited Avi. But of course there was no way that Avi couldn’t crack even the toughest heart.Kyran is a NFL Quarterback aspirant and Avi is an Artistic dreamer, both attending Boston College, both hate being in each other’s life. Both having separate and very diverse friend groups. All of whom are very important characters in ‘For The Fans’.There is such a lot of stuff covered in this book, sports interest, religious beliefs, traumatic event, effects of social media, sexual awakenings etc.I just adored these two guys and the way Nyla delved so deep into their character development to make them so real to me.Apart from the story writing, I always enjoy Nyla’s own ‘Notes from the Author’ as much as the book itself. We read all the background and thinking behind the story, very interesting stuff indeed. I really like the honesty and the ‘NFTG’ attitude.My TBR list is going to be bombarded with Nyla K books in 2024.If you enjoy great writing and storytelling skills, adorable MC’s, terrific character development, and interesting secondary characters, plus angst, and Sauna Level steamy scenes, go get a copy of ‘For The Fans’.Nyla has promised more from Avi and Kyran in a future book which may include some of the side characters here. I’m looking forward to it already.

I know the cover is not as appealing, but when I tell you it’s fire 🔥… it’s literally fire. Great story, great character development and the sex scenes… GOD! 100/10

After some financial troubles, these two step brothers make an Onlyf@ns account to pay their way through college and oh my gosh, it is as deliciously filthy as it sounds. However, it is also such an incredible story. I was HOOKED. Like, stayed up until 3am, could not put this book down, HOOKED.The tension in this book is some of the BEST I have ever read. I promise that you need to push through the first 100(ish) pages to get to know them and their backstory, it is so worth it. Each of the characters has such a distinct and lovable personality. Kyran starts out as a grumpy football player who absolutely HATES Avi, but Avi’s ability to joke through anything and maintain a carefree mood renders Kyran defenseless. Even the side characters stole my heart. (Frankie, Theo, Guty...I’m looking at you.) The slow burn and the the way Avi absolutely MELTS Kyran’s harsh facade is both heartwarming and entertaining.The spice? Oh my gosh. Some of the HOTTEST, DIRTIEST, FILTHIEST smüt I’ve ever read, in the best way. Both of them have a knack for dirty talk and I blushed so hard. The rest of the story, every moment when Kyran starts succumbing to the feelings he’s been keeping hidden, every time he notices the distance Avi is willing to go for him, I was a puddle on the ground. This story is emotional, it’s raw and it’s freaking beautiful. This is MORE than a spicy book, so much freaking more. I want to read this all over again already, and I just finished the book.I’m begging you to read this. It will sweep you off your feet. 🥹🩵✨

For the Fans is a standalone novel by author Nyla K.My heart is full yet it feels so empty. Because this story made me laugh, doubt and cry... but it brought me so much joy that I'm now going into withdrawal. I NEED more of Kyran and Avi. I went through all my highlights to find quotes for this edit and I couldn't choose!!! Every dialogue, every scene was just PERFECTION.For The Fans was my first full-length novel from Nyla and I had the pleasure of buddy reading with my bestie @loverexreads . It was so much fun! This story Nyla K has put to paper is absolutely phenomenal. The hype it's getting right now is deserved 100%. If the length of it scares you, please don't be. You'd miss out on so much love and beauty.I can't really explain all the feelings I have without giving away too much. This book was so special. Kyran is my broken boy. His vulnerability wrecked me, but his incredible strength brought me hope. Avi's carefree and bubbly personality was just a breath of fresh air. I couldn't get enough of them both.This book really shows how a person can literally change your life. Nyla's writing is so sharp and focused and breathtaking. I loved how she explored the concept of acting/wearing a mask through her characters. The two MCs acting for the camera, but also trying to discover who they are in real life. Reading about these two boys just figuring their stuff out just gave me life. Special mention to the side characters who help Kyran and Avi on their journey. They were absolutely fantastic.And of course, this book is spicy, but the intimacy was SO intense, and so well written, it felt like every scene was love and passion, embellished with some top tier dirty talk. SPEECHLESS.I cannot say more. You need to read this book.

Es ist so viel mehr!Die Dynamik zwischen Kyran und Avi ist einfach unglaublich!Die Emotionen der beiden werden so gut an die Leser weitergegeben, dass man mit ihnen hasst, lacht, leidet, bangt und sich freut.Eine klare Empfehlung für alle Fans von Haters to Lovers, Stepbrother Trope und MM Romance!Diese Geschichte hat mein Herz gestohlen!
