As a Nursery Practitioner, I am always excited to be offered for review any toys or resources which I can share with the children in my playroom. We have hard flooring at my Nursery for ease of cleaning, but I like to use different mats and materials to create soft spaces for the children to explore and play. This type of foam pads are perfect - The create a softer play space which is still very practical. The mats can be cleaned with soap and water - although often just a spray of our disinfecting solution works well enough. They are great for marking out different areas of the room - I have a set which are bright and colourful that I use in our construction area - the foam helps to soften the sound of bricks falling on the floor when their building work gets tumbled. It does also make the floor a little kinder to our knees! This set of foam mats offer a really lovely pattern, with hearts, flowers and crown inserts. These can be removed, so I will probably gift this mat to my colleagues in the baby room, as once the 2 - 3 year olds in my playroom realise the details can be pulled out, they will be pulling them out all the time! The mat has a scalloped edge which took me far too long to work out how to use - You simply pull apart the edging which is packaged in pairs! I blame a long and busy week! This edging is great as it prevents trips from the unfinished mats and it can be pulled up to create a little rim - another reason this might work best in baby room, as the little ones can roll their balls and toys without them travelling far. These are a great idea for home play too, and are safe for infants to lie on as well as remaining useful through toddlerhood and beyond. The mats are well made with a patterned side as well as the matte picture side. When not in use, the mats can fit inside the cubed plastic storage bag, which is great. I really like the simple pattern and colours of this mat and feel it offers great value at £39.99.

This product was nice but I think they should’ve made the shapes in the square stick because then they come out and go everywhere.

Happy with the quality

Came slightly scuffed in places and looked like it may have already been taken out of the packaging/used slightly but still happy with the purchase. Great size for my 3m old to play and roll around in.

This was such good value for money, easy to assemble, and simple in its appearance that we just ended up buying a second one in case of any damage to the first or in the occasion that we had a big gathering that required expanding the floor mat or having a second one. The only downside was the second batch came with a slightly different off-white colour (one more warm/grey and the other was bright white) - not the end of the world however. The mat pieces come nicely packaged in a square durable plastic zip bag, which is great if needed for transporting the mat. Perhaps a second 'downside' is that there is a Christmas-themed piece (pine tree), but ultimately not a deal breaker.Have had this mat for around four months now with minimal damage to it. The mat is soft enough for the little one to crawl around and marks out a nice area for the play area. There is decent grip with the little ridges in the mat, although the mat is overall still quite smooth, so a bit of sliding about when the little one couldn't crawl properly. Have vacuumed over it (with an internal spinning brush/roll) and it hasn't done any visible damage.
