Safariland 7379 ALS Concealment Clip-On Holster

Like a glove, but easy to release.

This holster does a great job of fitting and retaining my G17. Very pleased with quality and function. Almost everyday use for several moths now and I am very happy with this holster, I just ordered two more of this model for different pistols.

Simply a good quality holster with solid retention. I've used safariland for decades on duty and while this isn't level 3, it still holds very securely. Snap locks onto my range belt securely as well.

I actually use this for duty. It works great. Holds up to vehicle use, everyday bumps and scuffs. Retention is only by the thumb drive so it's not really a level II. Keep that in mind. It works great for me.

This holster fits my Glock 17 perfectly and is made extremely nice. I wanted a locking feature and the thumb lock is easy to get used to. I took off one star not because of quality or anything like that but being not a small, light gun I most likely will be more satisfied with a paddle mount to help disperse the weight and feel less bouncy which is extra. All said a nice rugged holster that fits perfectly.

Very light and easy to conceal under a lose jacket. I travel a lot at night and I hated my previous holster since I could not easily pull my weapon it needed, it would always get snagged. This holster there is no snags, nice and smooth very reliable.

I've owned a LOT of Safariland holsters before, for various SIG, Glock and HK pistols. I am very familiar with the ALS Level I (I call it Level 1+) retention system. This holster is one of the best! Things to know about this holster: 1.) The Safari-Seven Dupont Nylon material is less substantial and rugged than the Safarilaminate holsters. I think this light weight is an asset, particularly for non-duty use like range, shooting sports, or civilian CCW if you live in that kind of jurisdiction. I wouldn't be as happy with it for armed professional service, but for my uses it is just awesome. 2.) This holster does NOT have the partial suede lining that most Safarilaminate holsters (like a 6378) have. It makes it faster all around. Faster to draw, faster to re-holster. You give up a little noise in trade-off, because suede lining would quiet your draw, but again - this is built for speed. 3.) The fit / passive retention is not adjustable. The ALS trigger guard lever retention is the only thing holding the firearm in the holster, but the system is proven and I'm comfortable with that. 4.) The belt clip is adjustable for different belt widths and it is designed well. It is a little bit of a pain to move the shim in the belt loop area but with a little hand prying, you can get it moved to the width you want. 5.) It seems like they have ever so slightly modified the ALS lever design or position, because this one works awesome! I've been "hung up" on my draw with some other ALS holsters and have even had to add Nub Mods to make them more robust, but not on this one! Unbelievably instinctive for the amount of security you get. You can't go wrong with this.

So I have a glock 17 Gen4 (with stated barrel length on package) and I ordered it, and it will not fit, I called safariland they said its prob faulty and they couldn't send one to me because im in Canada, so I ordered an Amazon exchange, sure enough I get my new holster, same older version (not liek the one depicted, which is the new one) and it still wont fit my Glock 17 Gen4. I also have a 6360 which fits it JUST FINE!!!!! so its not the gun. I recommend buy it form somewhere else as it is a dam fine product
