Backbox 2g 10mm Spacer

I was replacing a set of dimmers and the new faceplate would not screw back. No idea how the electrician got the first one to fit in the first place. Anyway, this got me out of a tight spot and was really handy.I guess if you're reading this then you already know you need one. At £2.79 and delivered much quicker than the estimated delivery, I'm very happy.

Somehow, the wiring in my backbox became too much for the backbox. I could perhaps have just crammed it altogether and pushed hard. But better to get this spacer to extend things. Now it all fits together just fine. Except that I had to make a dash to Wickes for longer, 50mm screws. The screws that came with my new dimmer switch was 30mm and wasn't long enough for the switch and this backbox...

Just want i needed

Due to new skirting being higher, I needed this spacer so that I had more clearance for the plugs, works a treat and looks OK, I painted it the same colour as the wall which helps.

I had two 13 amp sockets which had been recessed and made attaching 13 plugs/ transformers difficult. These sorted the problem!

5 year old Grand daughter loved it, bought for present to practice her kick boxing skills.

The thickness is excellent and good luck for money.

I purchased some usb sockets from amazon that didn't come with a spacer (although the product description said different), and was slightly dismayed when I couldnt fit them plush to the wall as the cabling and usb box took up to much space in the cavity. This 10mm spacer does the job, and I am very happy with the results. Delivered quicker than expected, and a breeze to fit.
