Suspenseful twists
Another exceptional tale of suspense from Ms. Dodd. This book was a memorable return to Gothic including side characters from the previous books. There are so many twists and different story threads, each time I thought I had figured out who could not be trusted another detail was revealed. You do not need to read the prior Gothic books to enjoy this one.

Love a Gothic Tale
Another lovely tale set in Gothic, CA; the coastal town in which ‘fog brings home lost souls’. I enjoyed the upbeat tone and pacing of this story, as well as (learning about) flower breeding - Zoey’s (MC) semi-magical skill. As the story trots along, things heat up (in more ways than one!) and characters begin to flock, hunting the ‘heart of the dragon’ (Zoey’s unknown, maybe, long lost birthright). Dastardly deeds ensue, characters multiply like mosquitoes in a hot pond in summer, and it all feels a little out of hand with not one but two famous Professional Wrestlers, some Russian Mafia, and more. Still a fun read; though light on our Gothic fave madame Rune.

Great read
You know nothing about your life when you were very young. Your mother just doesn't talk about it. You're OK since you have your plants and they are what matter to you. Even your marriage was not as important as your beloved plants. Then, there is a need to know what happened to you when you were young. You are involved in an almost fatal accident and your ex-husband, a former star wrestler, is asked by your mother to come protect you, then she disappears. Then there is a car pulled from the depths that has a man in it...dead for a long time...but his life circles around to yours. Whew...This was a fun and suspenseful book. We get to re-visit the town of Gothic with it's kind of spooky reputation. The quirky folks of the town are all in with the town's rumors. An artifact is sent via the USPS, but is delivered to another person since the whole town knows you've been in an accident.I like to get set up with a drink, a blanket, and a relaxing place to sit and read Ms. Dodd's books. I was not disappointed in this latest town of Gothic revisit.

maybe not her best effort
I typically enjoy this author’s books but this one was not as tightly woven as some of her earlier work. I’d really like the time I spent reading this (all the while shaking my head and hoping it would get better) & the $$ I spent on it, back.

Legendary "Dragon's Heart" Found
“Forget What You Know” is Christina Dodd’s latest novel featuring the townof Gothic, California, located on the historic Pacific Coast Highway. The book openswith the tale of the legendary “Dragon’s Heart” and throughout the story, we learnthat there is a ruthless and deadly group of Treasure hunters searching for this artifact.Zoey, a professional flower breeder, is caught up in the search when they suspect thatshe might have it in her possession. Her ex-husband, a professional wrestler, is enlistedby her mother to protect her but there is a serial killer out to get him too. Heart-stoppingdanger abounds, names have been changed and people are not always who they pretendto be. This book features some quirky characters who make Gothic their home and a plethoraof questionable visitors for the “Gothic Garden & Flower Show” which features Zoey’s SecretGarden and Mr. Kulshan’s German Beer Garden which will make you smile. There were enoughtwists that kept me guessing to the end. I strongly recommend this book.
