Elevate Your Desk Game! 🚀
The Stand By Mi is a stylish monitor stand designed specifically for all Mac Mini models. It features a front-access 4-port USB3.0 hub with a power adapter and cable, supporting transfer speeds of up to 5 Gbps while being backward compatible with USB2.0. This stand can support monitors weighing up to 60 lbs and elevates your screen to eye level for ergonomic comfort.

Just what I needed in a monitor stand
This stand helps make room on my desktop by providing a space for my Mac Mini below it and a space on the footer of the monitor for my CD/DVD drive. And of course it raises the monitor so that I am inclined to sit up straight. The USB connectors on the right side are quite handy, though they are only USB 2.People who complained about the workmanship and color match with the Apple design must have gotten a lemon. Mine seems to be well made and matches fine.

Pitiful Quality Control
Macessity has some of the worst quality control I've ever seen. This stand was either manufactured to unbelievably poor tolerances or damaged during manufacturing. When I received the stand, the back corner by the hub was shaped or formed completely different than the other three corners. It really looked like it had been dropped or stepped on, but then still painted and the hub attached afterwards and sold. The other three corners had a nice flowing curve while the fourth almost had a straight fold to the metal. On top of being very ugly from that, the result was that this one corner sat in a different plan than the rest making the stand wobble from corner to corner. I tested this on 5 different surfaces including granite counter tops. This was not damage from shipping as both the Macessity product box and the box Amazon packed it in were in mint condition and I wouldn't normally believe they'd even been shipped by just looking at them. Thankfully, Amazon service was stellar as usual and let me return the product.

Not as good as it might seem
At first this seemed like a great purchase. I realized this wasn't the case once I tried using the USB hub.The power cable itself doesn't fit into the unit very well, and seems like it might fall out at any moment. If the USB cable that goes from the hub to the iMac is not plugged in, the power light flashes on and off depending on how the cord is positioned. Move the cord around and you'll see the light turn on or off. Once you plug the USB cord into the iMac and into the hub, the light stays on (I assume it's drawing power form the iMac's USB port as well as the power cord) but this isn't a good sign for the connection with the power source. Not a good sign, but I figured I'd try it out anyway. When plugging the USB cord into the iMac I saw a spark inside the USB hub as the USB cord went in. DEFINITELY not a good sign. I was worried that it might've burned the USB port on my iMac but I tested the hub and fortunately it did not. However, I wanted to include this information so that you understand the risk of plugging it into your computer's USB hub. I would advise against it.To top it all off, once it was all plugged in, the hub simply did not work. No hard drives or thumb drives would mount, and the Apple Superdrive would not work. So all in all, the hub is worthless or perhaps even worse than worthless since it seems to pose some risk to your computer's USB hub/s.As far as the stand itself goes, it's not so bad. It does exactly what you'd think it would do -- it raises your iMac or monitor a couple of inches off the desk. As some other people have said, the finish doesn't exactly match the iMac's. However, it is close enough for most people to be fine with it. I'm quite picky and I didn't mind, but if you're extra picky about that sort of thing you might want to think long and hard about whether or not a slight discrepancy would bother you.All in all, I give it 2 stars because it's essentially just an EXTREMELY overpriced piece of metal with a decorative USB hub (a decorative USB that might harm your computer if plugged in). I'll probably end up returning mine. If they ever fix the problems with the hub then it would definitely become a worthwhile purchase (I think the concept is great), but until then I'd stay away from it.

Tidy but not USB friendly.
Keeps my limited desk space uncluttered. Not happy with the extra USB connections. The mini USB cable connection is not the best.

Great product
This product is great. It's holds my 27" iMac nicely and brings it up to eye level with ease. I'd recommend it to anyone. The USB ports on the side are a nice convenience as well, and my wireless mac keyboard fits in the opening.

Does everything I expected it to do.
Very well made, very heavy duty. The USB ports are convenient and are easy to plug into, because the stand is so heavy. My only quibble is that I'd like it even more if the USB module took up less space on the inside of the unit. I've purchased three of these units now, and if I had another Mini I'd buy another for it.

USB hub doesn't work and color doesn't match - for that price not acceptable
Expensive piece of metal, coloring doesn't match the one from Apple's aluminum. Worse, the build in USB 3.0 hub didn't work. The mini USB plug was wobbly, it was powered as indicated by the light but no device was mounted. For that amount of money the quality is abysmal. Returned. Ordered another one, without hub and from elsewhere.

Stand is sturdy, but power cable from USB is fragile
Stand is sturdy, but power cable from USB is fragile. upon initial set up the cable had to be pulled to one side just to work.
