Dell S2218H 22 Inch IPS LED-backlit LCD Monitor (Black) (6 ms, Full HD 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz, VGA/HDMI, Integrated Speakers)

My girlfriend needed a competent monitor for work, and I have had good experiences with dell monitors before. I was stunned with the quality of this screen for the price, and the edge to edge design is certainly an eye-catcher.PROS:-Great edge to edge design-Vivid colours-1080p at 22inches looks very sharp-Very sturdy stand, no screen wobbleCONS:-Speakers, while not bad, sound quite muddy and lack any bass-Controls to change screen settings can be a bit fiddlyIt wasn't long ago that I spent over £400 on a top of the line 24 inch dell ultra sharp monitor (with a much uglier design). It just goes to show what a difference a few years can make, because this is just as good (with a far more attractive design) as a quarter of the price.

Pros: lightweight, easy to set up, instructions clear, very good display and screen....Cons: as with most Dell products, think "good but pricey"? Speakers ok for speech, but I'd recommend a back-up set (which I had already from previous use) if you're going to listen to music; volume output is weak.

Using for first time today. So far very happy. Great size and looks good, sleek. I have not purchased this for gaming but word word processing and internet. Crisp, clear text. Haven't tried the speakers as yet. Seems excellent value for money.

Bought as a replacement for smaller monitor ,arrived on time and was very easy to set up. Don't expect great sound from built in speakers ,I ended up sticking with my old external ones. Don't let this put you off from buying this monitor picture is 1st class.

Stopped working after 3 year

Overall, it gives you what you need. But there are some cons. The speaker is not that loud. The screen says it is matte but it is not really matte. It acts like a mirror in the morning.

Sharp, clear, bright. Everything I wanted from a screen.The first screen I received had a small problem and to the credit of the seller, it was replaced extremely fast with a new one.Highly recommended.

Brilliant monitor for the price. The picture quality is fantastic.I haven't really used the sound so can't comment on that.It loses 1 star because I have had an issue where it will sometimes make an incredibly loud audio boom/squeal when connected to my macbook. I regularly connect my laptop to multiple monitors but this is the first monitor that has had this issue. The squeal is not coming from the laptop - it just sounds like the speakers are having a fit and I have to switch it off to fix.
