I have my display mounted to the wall with an adjustable arm -- this adapter works great. I don't see the rear of the monitor due to the wall, but functionally this is works perfectly. Very strong.

great less expensive alternative to the OEM Apple mount... but slightly different.
great adapter, I have two of them and also the the Apple OEM one (3 monitors) - all I can say that these are just as good as the OEMs and while not as slick as the OEM, who really cares after you mount them? yes, this one doesn't have the OEMs "quick unlock" feature, but it is a useless feature as no VESA mount has an access through the back-plate to be able to use it anyway... the only note here is that these are slightly thicker than the OEMs, but only by few mm, but worthwhile noting as it could matter. I would certainly not hesitate to buy these, especially at almost 1/2 the cost of the Apples ones...
