Without getting into more heavy-duty cases this one offers a reasonable level of protection from scratches and other damage whilst still showing off the phone inside. Mine case is fitted to the blue version of the phone and it’s good that the cover is clear. The back is a fairly hard plastic and the sides are softer, and easily able to fit around the phone. All of the connectors are accessible and I’m pleased with it.

Nicely made case that seems to fit well. My only complaint is that I found it extremely difficult to get an edge of the protective film to peel off! It is one thing to put a film on (is it really needed?) and another if you have to almost destroy the device to find where to start peeling it off! There is film on both sides - why? I find this a waste of packaging as the case is well wrapped anyway. The company is otherwise to be congratulated in using a totally biodegradable "eco" bag. This is a good example and should be followed by others. It should be highlighted in Amazon's product descriptions as I personally would always favour companies that demonstrate their environmental credentials in this way. I have given it 5 stars for this reason, which I only rarely give.

A tiny plastic molded spot bottom of case - seller explained it is the manufacturing process and appear in all product.Otherwise good product - fit the phone well, extra feature such as extended front cover prevent screen touching screen when plan face down, small support on base of four corner, cover for headphone and charging port, and protection on corner of phone feel safe.The phone dose look more bulky but that's something to take for protection casing.

I believe this is the best case available for the XZ1 Compact at the moment. I didn't really think about that before I bought the phone, but the selection is almost non-existent unlike with Samsung and Apple. Luckily Ringke has made this one which fits the bill nicely.It fits the phone well and does not slip off at all. The cut outs are pretty nicely done as in they don't have huge cutouts that are totally the wrong shape, but they are off-centre a bit. They've put in these flaps for the USB port and headphone jack which is probably to keep dust out - a cool idea. It may also keep water out of the port itself which would be nice as ports are unresponsive if the phone has got wet even if it is waterproof, although I can't confirm this.The case isn't anything special aesthetic-wise, it looks and feels like a bog standard plastic case. Thankfully though, with the clear back you can see the XZ1 inside which makes it look smarter than it otherwise would. The lip on the front keeps the screen off surfaces and there are little corner pieces on the back to keep the back of the case off surfaces as well which should reduce scratching. It does end up looking like you have greased it after you've held the phone for a minute.It doesn't leave any of the phone exposed except the power button (for obvious reasons), so offers good protection from scratching and hopefully should also protect it from drops to a decent extent. The buttons that are covered become a bit harder to press and I can no longer feel the first click of the camera button which is a bit irritating, but I don't think they could have avoided that.My one gripe is that there's no door you can pull out for the sim/card slot. Not sure if they could have done that but it would have been great because the case is quite difficult to get on/off due to the sharp corners of the phone.

Ordered this yesterday. All the holes align _perfectly_ and I really like the material. I thought I wouldn't like the coveres for the charging port/headphone jack but they're really well made and actually a pretty good idea now I see it in person. It was easy to put on and it covere's the front bevel just the right amount. This is a nice case, well made and includes dust covers for the charging and headphone ports. The reason I'm not giving it 5 stars? The case is just too smooth which makes it too slippery. I had a Moto G before my Sony XZ1 and the rubber case you could buy for it (from Motorola) was awesome. Proper rubber ALL the way round, no way were you going to drop that phone!
