They do the job
Previous bits I have bought didn't last a single hole in our porcelain tiling. I drilled 4 holes with just one of these bits and it never showed any signs of overheating. You just need to take it steady and let your drill and bit do the work. Be aware that you need a drill that can handle a steady minimum of 2000 rpm. My modern battery driven drills for home DIY operate at slower speeds, luckily I had my trusty old wired Bosch

Excellent cheap drill bits
Great drill bits for porcelain, cheap enough to do a few holes and throw away as they won’t last to long but I’ve found neither do the expensive ones so carn’t go wrong with these

Not as simple as on-line video
I needed to drill lots of holes in my new porcelain tiles. A spade shaped tile bit managed one and a half holes before it broke. These tiles are VERY hard! So I sent for these diamond bits, and they arrived promptly. An on line video showed how to use them. They don't have a point, so you start with the bit angled until it bites, then straighten up, and if the video is to be believed, a few seconds later you have a hole! Not so. It's difficult to get an accurate position because the bit doesn't have a point, and after a long period, not much progress on the first hole. Tried using little force - little impact. Tried using plenty force - big heat, little progress. Then tried water cooling and plenty force - ureka! Slow progress and ultimate success. Just another 15 to go! But eventually complete. What did I do wrong?

Cheap and good
Not sure on how long they last but if you keep dipping in water as you go these are a bargain really as you can pay more for just 1

value for money
Very good drilling speed and quality at a very reasonable cost.

Cheap and cheerful
Did the job but are awkward to use and the cooling wax melted into my drill chuck. Only really good for one-off use, certainly wouldn't rely on them for constant use.
