This is my third book by Larry and Dominique, and yet another gripping story.Although a work of fiction, in many ways a glimpse of how our world mightbe threatened by a megalomaniac world leader seeking domination over anothercountry. It clearly shows the potential chaos when a major city is facing the challenge of evacuation in an emergency. Highly recommended.

I bought this book (and still have it) when it was first published in 1981. I found it to be a gripping thought provoking story when I first read it, and I remember thinking back to some of the prophetic words at the time of the 9/11 atrocities. More than 30 years after the book was written, it seems more and more that true life is following fiction. I have now bought the book for a Kindle and have just begun reading it again. I would recommend to anybody.

Read this when it was first published.Change the character names and it could be present day.

New York is held to ransom, and whichever choice the President takes will result in untold horror. The clock is ticking...... I read this many years ago on its first publication, and even though world events have changed, it is still worth a read. The intensive research shows on every page, a gripping read. Recommended.

An exciting thriller different to other books that I have read from these authors Full of tension and raising the idea of something that could happen at some time as nuclear weapons become more widespread and smaller

This book rates as probably one of the best I have ever read. It is a fast-paced Breathless narrative that never lets up. New readers are cautioned to save it for a weekend when they can settle into comfortable chairs without interruption. New readers, you have been warned.The novel deals with an aspect of terrorism. Of course, that is like saying the New England Patriots deal with football. Given present-day circumstances, the reader soon realizes that this is just not a story being read for pleasure on the weekend but something that could conceivably happened. That is what makes many elements so frightening.So, buy the book. Amazon will probably sell you one for a dime. It will prove time well spent.
