This bucket hat is great, with one issue for me. The brim is too wide. If you're looking for a practical and functional head cover, read on. If you're all about style, you may want to keep looking.A bucket hat I like has a brim that is max 5cm wide. This one is 7cm, I also have one that is 9cm (practically a cowboy hat). It gives better sun protection, but doesn't necessarily look good for me.The hat comes in a zip bag in the form of a flat, round bag. When you open the button, you can flip it inside out and it transforms into a full size hat that is more than twice as big. The button closes up again and forms the top on the inside of the hat. Pretty cool and saves space. There are small loops on the sides, where you can attach the provided cord, to make it resist the wind. There is also a cord running along the crown, which allows you to adjust circumference a bit. Finally you get a plastic carabineer (hides on the inside under the top) to attach it to your backpack.The material is nylon. It's good, because it will be waterproof, at least to a degree. It's not the type of material to protect you from a serious downpour, but it will do great in light rain.The fact you transform the hat from a small, flat shape does have an effect on it. There are some wrinkles, but it doesn't disturb this style.£15 with a 15% voucher is a reasonable price for me. It's a pretty decent travel hat, which is why I'm going to keep it. The manufacturer gave the proper dimensions in one of the pictures, so you can figure out the style - probably my fault for not noticing...But I kind of like it, besides I have a thing for foldable items. 4 stars from me.Thank you for reading my review. Nice adjustable hat would fit most heads..It has a toggle type adjustment, very easy to do.I got the pink one so it can double up as a sun hat.It's comfortable to wear, the outer material and the lining are both made of the same material, the inside isn't mesh as described. It doesn't bother me but don't expect mesh inside.The hat folds into itself to make an integrated carry bag with a clip to hang it, handy to clip onto a bag in case of rain.100% nylon made in China, hand wash at 40 degrees or less, very cool iron, can be dry cleaned.I sprinkled water on it, the water beaded and ran off so I'm happy it's shower proof. I chucked a glassfull over it, the water again ran off leaving the hat slightly damp but it didn't go through so I would say it's good in most rain situations but may get damp in prolonged heavy downpourI'm happy with this hat and recommend it. Only four stars as the lining isn't mesh as described.

This hat is made of lightweight nylon fabric. There is quite a good selection of colours available. The zipped plastic bag it came supplied in could also be used for storage in your rucksack if it gets wet.It is comfortable to wear as it is lined inside with a breathable mesh. Although it’s one size, it has a separate elasticated toggle cord to adjust the size to fit. There are a couple of small loops on the outside of the hat to attach the additional cord. It can be used both as a sun hat or for the rain as it is waterproof. It folds away neatly into itself which is really handy.At £12.74 (with 15% voucher applied) at the time of writing this review, it is a reasonable price and a must have for your outings.

The impression that it always rains in my home town is obviously wrong as I have waited days for some rain to test this hat out. Finally, the results are in.I am not mad about the colour I got (sort of burnt orange) and I doubt if I will win any style awards with this hat (probably true of all hats on me to be fair) but it does do what I want it to. A toggle draw string allows you to alter the size of the hat to fit you snuggly, a wide brim keeps the rain off the back of your neck and out of your eyes. I can confirm it is both waterproof and windproof. It does, indeed, dry quickly and folds away into itself to form a small pouch small enough to fit in your pocket in case of later rain. There is also a chin toggle string for extra security. I have not yet machine washed it but I anticipate no problems.

It’s a bit thin and not really heavy material which I guess isn’t a bad thing depending on where you want to use it. You can’t really use it as a fashion items however can be used for what a bucket hat is actually meant for
