Thick enough to use as a table top and comes with pre-drilled holes and fittings. Great buy.

Q: Any reason why this couldn't be used without the washers to sit more flush to the wall?

I would recommend that you use the washers

It’s not flush with the wall, it sits out by about 15mm. Getting the washers to stay in place while installing can be a bit tricky but once it is up it looks great and does the job perfectly.
