Rosewood Naturals Meadow Hay Cookies, 1 Kg

I am consistently pleased with the quality of these hay cookies - they smell fresh, the hay is not packed so tightly that my rabbit cannot access it and - most importantly - the rabbit himself finds them delicious.

My guinea pig was unsure at first about this, as he was used to loose hay, so I had to hold it for him while he took tentative nibbles, but once he tasted it, he really liked it. It took him two weeks to finish, and the hay is much nicer than the stuff he had before, it smells good too and doesn't leave much mess. He likes playing with the cookie too, throwing it around and pushing it about the place, and playing tug of war with me when I hold it, so it can double as a toy too.

Guineas seemed interested to start with but got bored after a while. Be warned: the packet says they aren't as messy as hay. I beg to differ as they just crumble into very fine hay and it gets everywhere and makes a huge mess. Not the best from Rosewood.

My rabbits love these hay cookies! They're compact, and perfect for putting in their carry cage when we travel.

These are different from the ones I've bought previously. They're smaller, more compact, much less dusty and seem a better colour. My rabbits were never that interested before, although I bought them to try to encourage one of my rabbits to eat more hay, but these new ones they love. Would buy these again.

Guinea pigs seem to love those hay cookies, they smell nice and come in big chunks which make it more or a challenge for the piggies

Not great - my guinea pigs are not picky eaters but at most, they'll give this a nibble then move on. And there is a slight chemical like smell to it also.

Awesome product, no mess and adored by my chinchillas.
