The dimensions of this device are 57.34 mm x 32.13 mm x 21.04 mm and are subject to infinitesimal variations. The tunnel into which the current carrying cable is placed has a usable diameter maximum of 12mm, beyond which, the cable's outer covering will be gripped by small ribs of 0,5 mm or so projection.The inductance of my particular device measured at the plug was 4.862 H and 100.2 Ohms, this being measured on a laboratory instrument, which is regularly calibrated, but these readings are subject to ambient temperature, in this case 20C. As a ball-park figure, you may expect an output in the region of 1 Volt RMS per amp into a 1 meg 15pF load @ 50Hz. in practise, this really is approximate, of course, and dependent upon sine wave purity and consistency, plus Load Z.The plug supplied with the device has a diameter of 3.38 mm, but passes for a 3.5 mm stereo jack plug. The tip and body-earth of the jack plug are connected, the middle land being redundant. It comes with a lead length of 1 metre.The winding wrapped around the magnetic core is well constructed, tightly wound and protected with a plastic wrapping. Its mounting is tight and secure, so you may expect a consistent reading, dependent upon input variations. If small gauge current carrying wire, in the region of, or about, 22 gauge Imperial standard, is used as a permanent fixture, it should be single-turn wrapped for security, as, if allowed to move within the core space, small variations will obtain.The jaw has a fastener, which will close with precision, snapping into place and completing the magnetic path at an optimum. The general build of this device for the price is excellent. Its only weakness being the plastic hinge, which, if used on a daily basis will eventually tear, especially if subjected to low temperatures and/or prized open to double back upon itself. However, if reasonable care is taken, this device will last for years, you are thus advised to open the jaw just enough to insert the current carrying cable.Without hesitation, this current sensor is well-worth every cent and is highly recommended for general use.

I did not receive the correct version of this current sensor for my application. The picture shows the 100A:50mA version but what I received was the 100A:1V model!
