Instrapac 7930 Tubegauze Applicator Large

Having had to have a pin put in my toe, the plastic applicators are not wide enough for me to be able to do my own dressings. I ordered this hoping that being metal I could adjust to make it wider so I did not need three hands to put on the dressing. For this it has been perfect. I was able to adjust the metal and it is strong enough that the adjustment holds.However I marked is down one start as it said large and it is no larger than the plastic applicator you get free with some brands of tubeguaze. Of course with the adjustment it works but because the angle of the open end has increased the first section is easy to put on but the second and third wrap are more difficult as the gauze does not slip over the metal quite as easily as it does plastic.Still I imagine most people will not need to adjust it so the opening angle and movement of the gauze will be ok. And it has provided me with a tool that will allow me to be able to dress the wound on my own, I was just not able to with the plastic applicator that came free with the tubeguaze.

Bought for my father after having his toenails removed. He has rather large toes and this works just fine. His remarks were "its just like the one in the hospital!" So he's pleased and no more pain changing dressings.

Works a dream. Plenty big enough for my big toe. Has made redressing a lot easier. A strong piece of kit which I will reuse. It’s says single use but I would imagine this is so not to use it on someone else’s if used in a hospital or something. I would recommend. Arrived very quickly.
