I wish I’d bought these sooner
The floors here are colder than my last place and I realised that I was feeling chilly indoors because I was losing heat through my feet. I have, however, a pathological hatred of ‘old person slippers’ (I wouldn’t even wear them ironically before I was an old person) so I wanted an alternative. Then I remembered Afghan socks - and here they are!SO much better than slippers, and wonderfully toasty. The stying of the ones I was sent is nice, neutral tones, but Afghan pattern. Quality is good, sizing seems right. Perfect. I only wish I’d ordered then sooner.

Actually big enough!
I bought these for someone who has large feet and often finds that "large" is not large enough, but these do what they say on the packet, and he was really pleased especially as this kind of slipper sock is quite difficult to get in the shops nowadays. The socks themselves are lovely, the sole stitching is a bit sketchy, and might not last as long as the socks, but that can probably be simply remedied and I foresee these items becoming beloved old friends.

Great slipper socks
Really nice. Bought to replace an older pair of Afghan socks. Really warm and comfy and the soles are good quality.I'm a shoe size 9 and ordered large and they're a good fit.

Best Afghan slippers ever!
I love these slippers! They are warm, comfortable and convenient. I think hippies would've worn them in the sixties. That's good enough for me! Highly recommended...🤣

Don’t fit well
Really lovely design but they just don’t fit properly. I bought a medium as I am 5/6 but they don’t stay on at all.

Warm and comfortable, but may need some alterations ...
I've worn Afghan slipper socks for years, but my current pairs are past hope. During a recent cold spell I started to develop chilblains, so I thought I'd better get some more.I knew from previous experience that these are highly variable when it comes to the dimensions of the leg part and are often tight around the calf, so I wasn't surprised that I had to unpick the tops and ease both pairs I bought to make them wearable. If you have the ability and know-how to that, it isn't a problem - but if you don't, you might want to bear in mind that these may not be suitable if your calves are bit muscular/chubby.I take size 8 shoes and bought the 'L' size, which is a perfect fit in the foot - not restrictive and not too large either. If they fit you (or you can persuade them to fit! then these are an excellent, hardwearing which will last for years ...
