Hair Shampoo with Natural African Chebe Powder for Hair Growth | Sulfate Free - 16.9 OZ

I have medium-length straight brown hair, and I'm always on the lookout for a nice shampoo that is good for my hair and scalp, so I chose this chebe shampoo which is advertised as a natural, anti-dandruff product. At first I was skeptical, because it took a while to get the shampoo properly blended - the label says to invert the bottle for 24 hours, and I waited 48 hours. I shook the bottle numerous times during that time, and finally it became blended and it seems to be staying blended now. During my shower tonight, I used a quarter-sized dollop on my hair. It is quite concentrated and lathered up nicely, so next time I think a dime-sized amount may work. The scent is pleasant without being overly strong. During the washing time, my scalp started to gently tingle, and it felt like a nice massage. After rinsing, my hair felt squeaky clean, and although my hair felt soft, I still felt it necessary to use my regular conditioner. Be advised that this is a standard cream liquid shampoo and not a dry or powder shampoo. Although I had never heard of chebe (do an internet search for info) before, I'm glad I decided to give it a try. Nice stuff.

UPDATEI've uploaded a picture with the ingredients, as provided to me by the company. I'm not even going to go into the low quality oils used (mineral, canola, palm) because I'm really upset that it contains ostrich oil, as I try not to use anything with animal products. Usually, I'm very careful to check ingredients, but since this did not have an ingredients list available and since I read that chebe powder seems to be typically used with natural oils like olive, jojoba, etc., I used this without checking first. I only thought to email the seller after I wrote my initial review. That is, of course, my own fault. However, I am removing my picture and putting the ingredients here so others can make a more informed decision. Unfortunately, I did not take a before photo (I always forget!), but my hair seems like it has grown some, and is shinier and feels much softer since using this chebe shampoo. The natural red undertones of my hair seem to come through a lot more too.The one negative is, despite my hair being smoother, for some reason it is harder to brush it. I think I need to use a conditioner with it, so I will probably buy the Amalico chebe conditioner and seeing if that helps.Another thing is I'm wondering what the actual ingredients are. The text on the bottle is all in Arabic, and the English just says how it's "natural" and "organic." Specifically, I'm wondering if there's any animal products in it.Details about my usage in case it helps anyone: I've used this shampoo 4 times now. But I'm one of those kind of people who only wash their hair every 2 weeks or so, so that was over a span of 2 months. I brush my hair about as often as I wash it... I do not heat it or style it at all, and only air dry. So my (lazy?) hair care methods may be relevant to my results. Or not. Not sure. But just putting it out there.

My bottle arrived packaged in a box so I thought it would hold up better than some products that Amazon just throws in a padded envelope. Unfortunately it still leaked (see 1st 2 photos), but not too badly. I followed the directions o the bottle and stored the bottle upside down. I think if the intention is to store it that way, it should be packaged in a bottle that has a wider top, as this little cap isn't very sturdy and it tips over easily. When I did store it upside down a lot of the seeds settled to the bottom (3rd picture), so I'm not sure if that's ideal either since when I used it mostly grit came out in the 1st squirt. I've used a Chebe mask on my hair before so I was already aware of it, but for those who haven't used it before you should know it's a gritty texture (kind of like an apricot scrub), so takes a bit extra to rinse out of your hair. I have long, thick, slightly wavy hair, and it took a lot of this shampoo to get it dispersed in my hair to clean it. It has a pleasant smell but that scent is gone once it's rinsed out. As a personal preference I like it when the scent of the shampoo sticks around. It did leave my hair nice and smooth and soft.

I used it as a pre wash since it was very challenging to mix the bottom ingredients to the bottom. Nice texture and scent. Doesn’t strip hair or weigh it down! I like this natural product!

I recently got this large 16.9 ounce bottle of natural Chebe Powder Shampoo for hair growth, anti-dandruff, and reduction of redness by AMALICO and I am very happy with it.The shampoo is made with 100% natural African Chebe Powder which looked gritty in the bottle, but did not feel overly scratchy when I dispensed it on my hair. It has a mild earthy floral scent to it which did not bother me. It left my hair and scalp feeling clean and while 4 weeks is too soon to tell if it is creating new hair growth, I am very happy with the redness reduction of the skin on my scalp. I have plaque Psoriasis and since using this shampoo my scalp has not been itching although flakes do still happen when I brush my hair. I will continue using this shampoo and update this if new hair growth occurs in the next two months.

Love a natural shampoo. This shampoo contains Chebe powder which helps to strengthen and moisturize hair. Consistency of the shampoo is creamy. Gives me a decent lather. Cleans my hair great and leaves it shiny. I do like to add some conditioner to the ends of my hair. Doesn't leave my scalp dry and flaky which I usually have issues with using other types of shampoos. You have to leave the bottle upside down so the powder can fall to the opening of the bottle. I guess I would like a bottle that was designed with a wider top for keeping it upside down better. Other than that, this is a great natural shampoo with no chemicals or dyes in it.
