SONGMICS Kitchen Bin, 2 x 15 L Steel Rubbish Bin, Step Bin with Inner Buckets and Handles, Soft Closure, Odour Seal, Black LTB30BK

I wanted a medium bin size with two sections and this looked smart so choose to buy this.The separate sections each have a pull out bin bucket with its own handle, so easy to clean when needed.It’s a pedal bin which I though would be great but upon use I’d have preferred a push top bin rather than a pedal but that’s a personal preference. The pedals work well and the lid closes slowly so it’s not a loud clang which I like.Overall a good medium size bin & doesn’t take up too much space.

Lovely looking bin and exactly what I needed to match the colour scheme in the new kitchen but there was one problem - Songmics don’t appear to make bin liners specifically to fit the 30l version like they do for their larger 60l bins! It’s so frustrating, I made the mistake of ordering what I thought was the right size bin liners from Songmics - 30l code 30a as my bin is 30l but these actually fit the 60l bins and are way too big for the 30l. Maybe I just don’t have enough experience in buying bin liners lol I don’t know, but I thought I had read the small print but I obviously hadn’t as it does say it’s for the 60l bin 🙄 when I reread the details. it was a very expensive mistake and I now have 90 bin bags which don’t fit my bin! 🤦‍♀️

The bin looks great,everything works ok.The only thing is that is not very practical,there is a cardboard made mechanism inside, if it goes wet it might stop working. Also if there is a spillage it can go inside the bin and it will be a nightmare to clean.

This bin is great. It is the perfect size for 1 or 2 people and it fits in a space that few other dual bins would. I have general waste in one side and mixed recycling in the other. It looks lovely and I really like the slow closing lids.I was a bit unsure about ordering this as there are quite a few reviews saying that the lid doesn't shut with bin liners in. This would have been very annoying, but it isn't a problem at all. You do need to be reasonably tidy in the way that the liners are fitted, but the lid closes completely shut. It is exactly as shown in the photos in the description. I also wasn't quite sure which bin liners to use for this, but I ordered the Relevo recycled 30L bags and they fit perfectly.

Excellent product, easy access to both compartments and looks good.

This bin is ideal for me. It takes up less space than the traditional sized rubbish bins, of course we need one for recycling now as well. The bin space is smaller but my rubbish bin usually needed emptying before it was full before anyway. The bags to fit are a different matter. I have found some in our local supermarket which are 30 litres, so not too big but they cost way more than the 45 litre ones for the same number of bags - less plastic=more cost

Just got this bin but very pleased with it. Nice size for a household of 1 - 2 persons. Not quite a brilliant white, more creamy but still nice. Being just new, haven’t tried to clean it yet. Like the fact that the inner bins have handles which makes them easy to remove. Foot pedals easy to work & like the soft close lid once you take your foot off the pedal.Would concur with all the excellent reviews.

l read a lot of reviews before buying these and they`ve turned out to be a good choice. l`d have preferred something a little taller as l have the space to spare, but l can`t fault these. Very well-built, stylish, pedals work well and a nice smooth soft-close.They`re just intended to be a couple of days` capacity l think, which is fine as l want the rubbish out of the house before it gets smelly.Would definitely recommend.
