JBL ProFlora u501 - Plant Co2 System Complete Kit - New Product @ Bargain Price!!!

So far so good, I have been using this system for over a month on my 260ltr aquarium. Plants are responding to this addition but not in a dramatic way. Before CO2 I was using liquid carbon so this seems to be just a bit better but not to the degree some describe. One of the noticeable effects is on the lowering of the ph, from 7.5 to 6.5 within the first day of use.The system was easy to setup and has everything you need to start.

I already had a Fluval 88g for my nano tank, so decided to try this for the community tank. As I have to manually start and top the Fluval already, not having a solenoid isn't problem.You do get a fair amount for your money - CO2 tank, regulator, bubble-counter, reactor, CO2 test kit, daily and weekly fertilizers. At least in the UK, replacement CO2 is reasonably priced at about £15 for 600g in any shop selling welding supplies.I liked the CO2 reactor, it seems to achieve 100% diffusion into the water unlike ceramic discs where many bubbles reach the surface and are lost.To me the biggest downside of this unit is the very poor control with the needle valve. You have so start with too many bubbles then reduce, but if you go too far then opening the valve a small amount doesn't do anything. You have to open it a lot, then start reducing again. Even the much cheaper Fluval 88g has a more precise valve. The other downside is the instruction manual covers every model in the JBL range so it can be confusing where the discussion of solenoids, refillable tanks etc. is all jumbled up and you need to keep checking which model you have.

Easy to install, certainly does the job. Not the cheapest of options out there and one star minus because the bubble counter wasn’t functioning correctly at start, had to unscrew and fix it before I could use it properly. Can’t say much about the effect it has on my plants though, still too early.

Nous l'avons monté dans un aquarium de 180 l, où il s'avère très efficace. Cet aquarium manquait de CO2 et les plantes dépérissaient depuis son installation cet ensemble fait son boulot et nos plantes rajeunissent et s'embellissent. Facile à monter reçu dans les délais prévus, il n'y pas de raison d'en être mécontent.

Conforme, emballage arrivé endommagé et ouvert mais article non endommagé.
