Breaking chain like a champ
Great easy to use product! Makes breaking chain links easy. Comes in handy. Don't need a grinder or hammer and punch. Just grab the handles a squeeze together place on link twist an they pop apart. Must have if you change a lot of chains. Good quality and sturdy. There a lot better than other brands I've tried. Great price too. It comes with an extra push pin but have yet needed to replace it after a lot of uses. Would highly recommend if you have much chain to break. Saves a lot of time compared to breaking chain by hand an possible bending a link in the process. The Koch Industries Inc. 7725010 #25 To #60 Roller Chain Breaker is a high-quality cutting tool. It can be very helpful when it comes to disassembling or cutting rivet-type roller chains. This device can be used with both #25 and #60 chains. The durable metal material features black oxide and zinc-plated protection, ensuring that the chain breaker tool will last for a very long time.

Breaks chains, works well.
Bought this for some #40 chain on a go kart. It works quite well once you figure out how it works.. It's not hard to figure out, but looking at the picture I had a good idea how it worked, but wasn't 100% sure. The middle opens up and clamps the chain and then you turn the top screw down to push the pin out. Works well. The only thing was that on my #40 chain, I didn't see any way to push the pin all the way out when I was shortening a chain.. With it screwed all the way down, it left a good bit of the pin in the chain. I didn't spend a lot of time on it - I just took a nail set and punched it the last 10% of the way or so.Either way this looks like a pretty beefy chain tool that should hold up just fine to the limited amount of use I'll be putting it through.UPDATE Jun6, 2013 - This chain breaker works great on a good heavy-duty #40 chain, but we've gotten into kart racing and it's WORTHLESS on a #35 racing kart chain. It's too rough and it ends up bending links. Ended up buying a specialized #35 chain tool from the kart shop to handle race chain duty. This is perfect for yard karts, but not for race karts.

Solid Product
I used this on a #35 chain for my mini bike. It did it's job well. Only wished it could support both sides of the link when breaking chain. When the pin is pushed out on a well built chain the tool must be used on both sides of the chain to free the pin from both chain bars on the link. Overall it is very well built and works good. For the price is a great buy. Even came with a replacement pin for the tool.

Great Item, dont know how i lived wiithout it!!
this was my first chain breaker. I always did the grinder thing, grinding the link out but trying not to destroy a link i didnt need to. Lets just say, this chain breaker is GREAT!!!! You can honestly take a link out within like a minute. I have taken links out of bike chains, scooter chains, and ATV chains, and out them back together within 5 mins!!! This is a must have for anyone that deals with repairing stuff like this. Great product, simple to use, highly productive. Wi

Overall, I’m content with my purchase
Tool is easy enough to use. The only thing about it that I dislike is the replaceable point/pin on the tool has fallen out more than once and have had to replace it after losing it. I put some thread locker on the new pin in an attempt to keep it in place, and so far that has worked. Works great for breaking new chain, haven’t used it on any older, used chain yet.

Worth the purchase
Kinda wobbly with smallest size chain, but it works well enough considering the few alternatives. It pushes a #25 chain pin about a quarter inch, enough to grasp it with some locking vice grips. All in all, I've used it about four times and although I get better at using it, it's still a pain in the butt to use while manipulating the chain as well as in low light situations. Overall though, I'm being picky, it does a great job of removing the pins, as long as you find the easiest way to break the chain. Google helps.

Great addition to my toolbox.
I needed a chain breaker that would cover a range of chains for use at work. This one covers what I needed and comes with a spare anvil which was really nice to see.I have used it several times and I have zero complaints about it. The materials are of good quality and the workmanship is spot on. Worth getting if you have the need for one.

WORKED PERFECT ON #25H CHAIN!!
I bought this chain breaker since it is meant to break #25 - #60 chains and after i ordered it i read all the bad reviews on how it's not meant to be used on small #25 chains and that it just ruined their chains but after i received it which was btw very quick shipping..i used it to cut my goped gsr40 chain and it worked like a charm! The people that said it doesn't work on small chains is cuz they don't know how to use it!!!! Alil advise when your turning the lever don't try to push the pin all the way out just turn it till the pin backs out just alil bit then go with the next pin & do the same and then remove chain from tool & just wiggle the link out by hand plain and simple..if u try to push the pin all the way out with the chain breaker all you will do is bend the chain.so just remember turn the lever just alil bit to push pin out not all the way though.oh and watch some youtube video's on how to use this tool..that's how i realize that i wasn't suppossed to push link pin all the way out.great tool!will last for years."Goped mechanic"
