There are two different lamps shown in the seller's images. They look almost identical, but there are some notable differences. The lamp in the first (and main), third and fifth product pictures is NOT what I received (I will call this Lamp 1 or L1). The lamp in the second, fourth and sixth pictures is the lamp that I DID receive (I will call this Lamp 2 or L2).The basics of both lamps are the same: the base and actual lamp are white metal, the extension arms are a natural wood.Now for the differences:The extension arm that attaches to the base is attached at a closer proximity to the base on L2 than on L1. It can still pivot back and forth but only so far until the corner of the extension arm gets stopped at the base, thus limiting L2's adjustment range (to bend back and forth). The arm of L1 has been attached further away from the base allowing it more freedom and range of adjustment.The same occurrence happens again where the upper arm on L2 attaches to the actual lamp-- where there is a white metal piece that extends from the lamp to the upper extension arm--on L2, this piece is shorter, on L1 it is longer, which, again, limits the range of how far in either direction the lamp can be adjusted, and most likely adds an inch or two (or takes away from) to the lamp's overall size.And finally, the cord of L1 is clear, whereas the cord on L2 is white, which isn't the biggest of deal breakers unless cord aesthetic happens to be important to you.The limited range of adjustment on L2 definitely makes for less dramatic angles, however the lamp still has enough mobility to be adjusted in a practical way and it's still a cute and simple lamp with rustic modern vibes.The switch for the light is located on the cord and allows the light to be dimmed in addition to its basic function of on and off.So, yes, there are some differences between what was advertised and what I received, but it is still an attractive little lamp, and I'm happy to make it a home in my office/art studio.
