How to make art with your camera
The perfect book to get an idea on how to make art with your camera. Especially the first two chapters deal with the idea of photography as a performance and how to tell a story with a single image. The book is full of example images that the author analyses. The images in this book are from artists around the globe I've never heard of (no Adams, Man-Ray, Bresson etc). A couple of times I've found myself on Wikipedia researching more about them. I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for an inspiration on how to make your own art.

It's a very informative book and a very useful reference for photography students. However, I was taken by surprise with regard to the actual size and format of the book. At only 21x15x1.8 cm, It's not very big, so consequently the photographs featured it are correspondingly small. Not so great if you're looking at an image by Crewdson, for example. The text is also tiny, so it's not as comfortable as it might be to read.

interesting
it's interesting book, but it can't be handbook, too many think to discussion, some interpretation are flat, author see in most of contemporary of photographs deadpans, what is out of point, it's senseless.

Thorough, concise with some interesting points raised a comprehensive look at many practitioners and styles of art photography today. Not a difficult read and something that can be picked up and put down at the readers leisure.
