All the right features
There may be issues with build quality, but with everything working as designed, I wouldn't choose any other rack over it.

Next best thing to a 1Up.
Very nice rack, but it is not as sturdy as the 1up, and I'll be returning to a 1up rack as soon as they are available again. The folding/collapsing arms are, for me, a solution in search of a problem. I am talking about the way the trays that hold the bikes actually fold up vertically, not how the whole rack folds up against the tailgate. I never remove my rack, and I never need to fold it up for storage. The extra pivot points just make it a lot less rigid. I guess if you really needed to fold up a rack and put it in a closet or something that this would be a positive, but for me it is just a negative. The 1.25" to 2" adapter they include is solid enough but the entire rack has a lot of movement and play in it. It's not concerning, but it's not RIGID either. The actual attachment mechanisms and arms work great. The rack functions perfectly. It looks good. It's easy to use. I think this is a good purchase but just be aware of the lack of rigidity. If that concerns you, you may be better off with an alternative. The built in locks and security are a deterrent, not real security. I would not rely on them to keep my bikes secure, and I definitely would not rely on the flimsy hitch lock pin they include to keep the rack on my car. I'm pretty sure a sledge hammer would remove it quite easily.

SO FAR SO GOOD
TWO OF THE PLASTIC PIECES THAT LOCK ON THE TIRES ARE CRACKED AND IT HAD A LITTLE DAMAGE . PLASTIC PIECES SEEM VERY CHEAP.

Sturdy bike rack with good features
It’s a bit tricky to pull the handle to lift the bike rack up and down but my bikes feel very secure on the rack. It’s easy to get bikes on and off with added security with locks.

Inferior quality bike rack
Lots of quality and performance issues with this rack...where to start? The biggest issues is that the entire rack is cheap and super wobbly. You can see a ton of slop in the receiver, and the connection between the hitch adapter. At first I thought that maybe it was just loose from the factory, but it wasn't. I tried to use the bottle opener "knob" to tighten the hitch bolt, that was extremely cumbersome and doesn't allow you to really tighten the bolt at all. It actually gets in the way of the hitch -- bad idea! I then tried reefing it down with a wrench but to no avail, the hitch was still super wobbly. Driving down the road my bike was visibly moving around, much more so than any other rack I've owned. Not confidence-inspiring by any means! The plastic parts that touch the tires are very flimsy. I adjusted one to my wheel size, barely tightened it back up and the nut started spinning which wallowed out the plastic! I can't believe how thin the plastic is on this part. The platform that the bike sits on is also sketchy. These parts rotate around when not in use but they have a ton of slop in the pivot. All in all, the fit and finish on this rack is terrible, and it will be sent back. I'd avoid this one at all costs!

Expensive but worth it
I bought it used so there was a few things broke on it but just cosmetic plastic but other then that a sold bike rack easy and quick to use couldn't be happier with it

Hurts "Buy American" storyline
After having a pretty good start while having some trouble getting the wiggle out of the receiver, and then dealing with some gouges, the wing key, used to tighten the unit onto the receiver broke - and it was just finger tight and I wasn't using any tool. It just broke...I looked at the metal, and there was no bend, just crystallized metal. That indicates a fundamental flaw in the material - read likely cheap. My rack was a little over two years old, but I called them to get a replacement. They actually said I would have to buy a new part. This reminds me of the old days of buying from Japan and China - I think the American story is that we stand behind our products - these guys don't seem to. I'm going to get another rack for a need completely unrelated to this, but when I checked to see the standouts for e-bike racks, Saris is no longer near the top of the list. Maybe its Covid - but maybe not.

Bikes are On and Off the MTR bike rack in a couple of minutes with no scratches to frame paint
For those who take Cycling serious, this is the rack for you.All other bike racks I compared, had issues with banging the bikes together, causing paint scratches. After 4 months of investigation, this is my choice. With my previous bike racks, the frames would scrape paint off as they moved on the bike rack. I had to use extra bungie cords to keep the front wheel from flipping back and damage other bikes. Since I have started to use the Saris MTR rack, I have had no scratches or damage to any bike. I have not had to use any extra cords. The bikes are on and off of the rack in seconds while others are taking allot of extra time to take off all of the extra cords and untangle the bikes. My rack arrived with some minor damage to some hinge covers. Bicycle Outfitters Indy send me replacement parts and followed up with me to make sure the rack worked properly. Saris was helpful to verify what parts I needed. Now lets see how long it will last with heavy use with both mountain and road bikes.
