Perko1253DP1WHT Exterior Surface Mount Dome Light - 4, beige

Standard Perko quality surface mount switch operated incandescent light. I mounted it up under my poling platform on my Hewes just to throw some light on the rear deck for night fishing. In this day and age it would be nice if Perko would update this light with an LED bulb, but I will do that myself. One other thing I found strange was the use of a standard butt splice connector between the switch and light socket. I swapped this out with a heat shrink sealed butt splice connector just to try and waterproof the connection a little better. I think these light usually last about 5 years in the salt water environment.

We used it to replace the light in the bathroom on our boat. Worked great!

Love the light, when it works. Quality is apparently poor. Installed one less than a year ago. Only turned it on a few times, now the switch has failed. Way too expensive to have to replace yearly. Will be looking for other options.

Easy to install and easy access to change bulb if needed.

The product is nice. The wiring instructions sucked.
