Oh No! I Think I'm A DUFF!
I watched this on Amazon Prime, and I expected it to be a car crash. I was so wrong. This movie is hilarious, feel-good fun and relatable to everyone. You know when you're at school, way-back-when if you're old like me, and there's a group of girls and a group of guys that are just annoyingly gorgeous? Well Bianca knows those girls too. They're her best friends. And she is their DUFF. What's a DUFF? Well it's the "Designated Ugly Fat Friend" - the person who is approachable to members of the opposite sex because they're not drop dead gorgeous. The person who everyone talks to in order to chat up their mates! Now you're all starting to wonder if that was you too right? Or who yours was?I may have not known until now there was a name for this kind of thing, but it is so true! I distinctly remember this kind of thing from school and university and I absolutely love how they've portrayed this in film. Bianca, played by the hilarious Mae Whitman, isn't your typically uncool girl in these types of movies who suddenly gets a makeover and is beautiful. Bianca is pretty normal, she's just not as gorgeous as her friends. When she finds out she's a DUFF she's understandably annoyed and goes on a bit of a rampage against her friends, thinking they've called her that behind her back, and is determined to change things. Sadly Bianca runs into a series of unfortunate events whilst her attractive friend Wesley enlists to help her out in exchange for tuition. These events are comedy gold and I loved every moment. She's deliberately silly, can laugh at herself and is a pretty feisty main character - I loved her!I'm not going to pretend this movie is original. Of course it isn't. It's been done a hundred times in a hundred different ways. I just happen to think this is the best way I've seen for a long while. You will know the ending, you will know the relationship dramas and how they unfold. But I promise you, you won't care. I definitely recommend this, although some of the humour is more adult so something to keep in mind - just try not to take it too personally if you realise you're a DUFF too!

Likeable Teen Drama
I quite enjoyed watching "The DUFF" , a teen high school drama with a good heart. A clever but unglamorous girl, Bianca, finds out that she is viewed as a DUFF (designated ugly fat friend) to her two beautiful school friends. She resents this and sets about losing this unwanted label. She teams up with her handsome neighbour ,who happens to be an alpha male jock, and in return for her helping him with his science studies,he gives her dating and style tips. Bianca hopes to attract the attention of a boy she fancies, but finds herself slowly falling for her neighbour ,who is romantically connected with the school's bitchy alpha female. Will she pick the right guy and shed her unwanted DUFF moniker ? Mae Whitman is charming as Bianca and she is well supported by an excellent ,likeable cast. Another thing that I liked about this film was that there was hardly any swearing or real nastiness in it.

Good Movie, Good Product
I bought this DVD for Christmas for my girlfriend who loves chick-flicks and romances. The product arrived very quickly and (being a man) I thought I'd hate it but it was surprisingly good! My girlfriend has read the book which she thoroughly enjoyed and so the film had to live up to high expectations which it did. The storyline deviated a fair bit from the book but this was positive as it put a new spin on the characters that she hadn't expected. The DVD came in a high quality case and the disk was in perfect condition. She's watched it many times and the disk has remained durable.I would recommend this film for the girly girls out there.

Oh No Who's The DUFF
This was a great movie. Its basically about a plain jane girl who has pretty friends and finds out that she's a DUFF (Designated Ugly Fat Friend). This leads her to get mad with her friends and ask the boy next door (who just happens to be a good looking footballer) to help her stop being the DUFF. Its a predictable storyline but you know what I liked it. Its a fun feel good movie just what I want to watch.

Brilliant
Have watched this several times and it always makes me laugh. Good characters and a great story line but not over sentimental. Some really funny one liners too. Great pick me up in a rather trying period.

the duff movie
I was a bit nervous to watch this film as it might not be like the book and i was right. I haven't read the book because to me they are two seperate things with the same name. It was like every teen comedy in high school she is picked on and then has a makeover same old, same old. I did like the actors and it was truly funny. I would liked the storyline to be the same as the book but i understand thay it would have been 18. Other than that i loved it.
