Needed it temporarily for my ankle. Worked well to stabilize it so I could walk. I think it could be used for either leg.

I never ever write reviews even though I say I am going to but this time I decided to. I bought this brace because I got one almost exactly like it from urgent care, however it had the "freezable" gel inserts and it was the most uncomfortable thing because of the gel packs. I decided to give this a try and I couldn't be happier. I found that I had to play around with it especially the stirrup part to get it adjusted to where it felt comfortable but once I got it to where it was comfortable for me I have not taken it off. I actually for the first time slept in a brace all night long. I found also that the stability that it provides me came from getting the stirrup feeling just right. Highly recommend. I should add that I was also questioning it because I usually am one to only purchase it if 4.5 stars has at least -usually because I have many different options. But I am so glad that I took the chance because it was well worth it!

I have worn this stirrup for three weeks now continuously for a moderately bad sprain. It's far and away more comfortable than the versions produced by 3-M and Aircast, which both dug into my foot terribly and were much more uncomfortable to walk and to sleep in. It also seems to be fairly well made, and comes with replacement parts for the heel. Have gotten mine wet in rainstorms a couple of times, and it also dries fairly quickly and still stayed in place well. None of these things fit into my sneakers or work shoes that well, and this one has is no different, but it works well sandals and slide ons, and after suffering through trials with a couple other versions, I am very grateful to this company for making a brace that is comfortable enough that I don't need to wear extra thick socks just to endure it.

Not good for stroke foot. It is better to get an AFO

This product is so-so. If you just need something you can wear that chills your ankles, then this is for you. However, it is not very comfortable and does not offer much lower leg support. It is a bit shorter than it needs to be for the support I need, and the gel packs are sharp in places and uncomfortable, even with a long sock on. The outer plastic pieces are sturdy enough. There is an awful lot of velcro to deal with, but once you get it all sorted out, it does hold the brace in place just fine and it seems sturdy as well. For the price, I guess I shouldn't expect the world. Basically, it helps with my ankle swelling, but does nothing for ankle support.

I never thought I'd ever have weak ankles but in the last few years, I've rolled my ankles a lot. It's even more painful than a break-I know because I've had a broken ankle. So, when I'm doing a lot of walking, I use these. I have two because I've rolled both ankles. You don't have to worry about getting a left or right side as these braces are convertible which is what I have done. I have other braces but these are by far one ones I prefer. They fit in whatever shoe I'm wearing. I advise cleaning them every so often so that the inner padding keeps its grip (I wear them without socks-they are comfortable enough to be able to do that and not rub.) I won't advise as to what to use because I use alcohol and don't know how it will affect them long term.

Works well for support and when gel packs are placed in freezer……very soothing.

This has been giving me so much relief. My ankle is very swollen and the brace they offered at the doctor was too small. This one works. The cold gel pads feel amazing and are providing great relief. The brace is easy to put on. I feel supported and stable.
