Venture QFix Bed Guard, Portable and Foldable Bed Rail 99cm x 42cm, White Grey

I love this item and so does my child who has just gone into a proper bed style part of the cotbed instead of the cot. No fuss whatsoever in transitioning from one to the other, not sure if it is because of the bed guard or if it is just her temperament.I would suggest if it is a long-time feature and not for porting about the place, that the screws be used, we tried without at first and found it wasn't as sturdy, quick screw into the slats and is great.I will say however this was a nightmare to put together, even with following the instructions the bottom bar took forever to go into place and there is no wiggle room/flexibility in regards to the fabric material to make it any easier, my sister in law also got this before us and didn't warn us that they had the same issue with it.So word to the wise, there may be some cussing when putting it together and more time than you would think it would need, but trust me it's a good solid item that folds down which makes bed changes much easier than a previous model (can't recall the brand) I used when my son was little which was like 7 years ago.

This is one of the best purchaces. We put it in our son's single bed. The bed guard doesn't take up any space from the side of the bed. The mattress is 16 cm thick and the bed guard provides sifficient hight above the mattress. One thing I like about this product is the two bars that go under the bed is quite long so didn't have to fix it to the bed. It's quite sturdy, as it doesn't even move when I lean on it while sleeping in that bed. The folding is a bit tricky as I have to push in buttons on both sides at once and I haven't quite managed to do it in one go.We followed the instructions in the leaflet and put it together easily.I'm glad I bought this product. One thing that made me decide to buy it than the other similar product was the length of the two bars that goes under the bed. Also these bars don't tilt or make the mattress uneven as mentioned in a previous review.Our son's bed is 190 cm long, so this rail doesn't cover the whole bed. However it's long enough to cover 2/3 of the bed and it helps him to sleep without falling off the bed.I put my maternity pillow along with the bed guard as my son pushes his against the bed guard while asleep. That's how he used to end up on the floor before. (We used to put a big cushion on the floor to break the fall).Over all, I'm very happy with the product.

I bought this for my grandaughters visits and its great for that but it is a bit flimsy. It is quite secure being screwed into the bed frame but the first time she slept in the bed I bent over the rail to give her a kiss and the rail bent with me towards her! It certainly went no where near her but it gave and I was surprised it gave so easily. I noticed when she lent on it it also gave slightly. Not dangerous but definitely wobbly. It was easy to put up and to be fair for the price its fine as I said for occasional use. I would be tempted to go for a sturdier model if a child slept in the bed regularly. It does come with the option of screws or straps to go round a divan base and there are large plastic stops on the straps to tighten it against the side of a divan and matress. Overall a fairly good safety rail. It has the option of letting down to make it easier for the child to get in and out but I have a small table next to the bed so cant use that option easily. This option is very useful if you have other overnight guests who might not appreciate a permanent rail which is the main reason I picked this one.This may be why it is a little flimsy. Perfectly safe and it would have to be lent on quite hard to shift it.

Really great bed guard. It feels really sturdy and secure and it was easy and quick to install. The fold down feature is great, really easy for an adult to fold down but too hard for a child (their arms won't be long enough to reach both buttons on the side at the same time to fold down) and it has a lovely click when you put it back up, reassuring you that it's locked back in place. On a cot bed, it covers most of the length of the bed too which makes for a nice transition from cot to bed

I had looked at a couple of well know brands of bed guard but was a little concerned as they were saying that they went under the mattress and were held in place by the weight of the mattress. My cot bed mattress isn’t particularly heavy and I was worried how secure they would be (my 2year old moves around a lot!)I came across this by chance and so far I’m really impressed. It was easy enough to assemble, quite clear instructions and looks good on the bed. More importantly there are two fixing methods and you can use either or both so I know it’s super secure (screws to screw it to a wooden bed frame or straps that thread through the slats and tighten. Only been used a few times so far but so far really impressed with the quality.

So happy to have found a bed guard suitable for cotbeds!I wanted one I could screw into the slats of the bed as the cotbed mattress isn't heavy enough to hold it down on its own safely.My daughter has had it on her bed for the last 3 nights and it is so sturdy and I feel safe knowing she's secure in there.The assembly was quite tricky but got there in the end!We'll worth the money for that peace of mind!

I like the grey and white colour of the guard and it is durable and functionable. The instructions are easy to follow, however the fit of the last piece is almost impossible. It is so tight I think I eventually forced it in after a good hour. The 2nd one I gave up until I built up my energy again. I still haven't been successful. For this reason I have had to rate it down. I finally figured that the piece slots in easily once the guard is folded down!
