Nice steel pan
Good quality carbon steel pan. If you're looking to move away from non stick this is a great alternative when seasoned well. Obviously not as non stick as teflon but good enough for most purposes.

Warped
Bought in January this year, used a bunch of times only while trying to improve the nonstick patina. Now September and already warped. Not impressed.

Once seasoned performs great; requires care when cleaning
The media could not be loaded. The pan does it's job perfectly. Initial seasoning was a bit cumbersome (especially without prior experience), at one point I had to strip it down to bare metal and start anew. Once seasoning is set works like a charm, though it is sometimes hard to clean without accidentally damaging the seasoning.Did those japanese pancakes, came out without sticking, nicely cookedUPD after 10 months: The pan still performs well, requires reseasoning very rarely. Unfortunately the bottom warped with continuous use, but I managed to (mostly) flatten it out with a rubber mallet. I guess thin gauge has its drawbacks.

Not heavy duty
The pan is only 1.5mm thick (compared with de buyer 3mm) and felt quite flimsy. Read other reviews which stated the pan warped.Gave 3 stars as nearly half the price of equivalent de buyer pan but would recommend going for a pan made of thicker steel.

Iron pan
Used it twice then thrown it in the bin :-(

Sturdy and heavy
Very well made and once seasoned a pleasure to use, I love this pan for flash frying things and I use it as a small wok.

Patience will be rewarded!
I am happy with these pans... bought two....even though they do need patience in their curing. I never use washing up liquid, just hot water and a scourer, dry off, drop of oil then put on a moderate heat, wipe with a kitchen towel and leave on the heat for a while. This might seem a chore but get into the habit and you will get non stick every time. The instructions indicate one cure is enough but l don't buy this. Don't put in the dishwasher !The pans are deeper than most so are good for stir fries...and my rice does not stick.Well made pans and at a good price.
