Q: does this dry. thinking of painting my small camping trailer with this ensure it lasts years

Dries but remains soft. Only suitable for underparts of trailer not normally touched.

Q: I want to brush this onto areas of sill that I've scraped back and repainted, can you wash brushes in white spirit, or do i need hamerite cleaner?

I used white spirit. Cleaned them up okay to use with hammerite again. Probably wouldn't paint my ceiling with the same brush though lol

Q: When painted on with a brush, how thick will this be? I am thinking of using it to to acoustically damp the panels of a DIY speaker cabinet.

The thickness is roughly like lumpy textured paint, and is probably similar in thickness to porridge. I would probably say it is not suitable. It also takes a long time to harden, a bit like tar

Q: should i use red oxide primer before applying this ?

Hi Rocky,No need to apply red oxide,however a good wire brush to remove loose rust,etc is advisable.Then apply a rustproofer though not essential, the wax will do the job on it`s own no problem,slap a good amount on,job done.
