This is a good product. I baited it with cheese, but the rat was not interested, even though we heard it in the night and saw evidence of its presence in the morning.I baited it with peanut butter - still no interest.But the night I baited it with a bit of chocolate bar - specifically Reese's Potato Chips Big Cup - it was in the trap about four minutes after the trap was set.The door springs shut very fast. It's also loud; so you know the moment it's been sprung.Those are great aspects of this trap, as rats are pretty cunning and I wouldn't want one to be able to spend all night working and chewing to get out, no matter how sturdy this trap looks.The only negative for this trap is that it is not quite long enough to accommodate a rat's tail.This was not a huge rat that we caught, yet the tip of its tail was still caught in the door. It was not squeaking, nor did I see any blood nor injury; so the tail must have been strong enough to withstand it. Still, I wish the trap were longer.The rat left behind a terrible mess in our home that was disgusting to have to clean up. I am so relieved to have been able to remove it from our home this easily, without having to kill it.

It may be good as a toy, but is worthless if you have a mouse problem. There are plenty more effective choices around.

I thought this would be a good trap for catching and releasing packrats. I was wrong unfortunately. The concept is good but baiting it is difficult. Once I did get it baited the cheese just dried out waiting for the packrats to come to it. Peanut butter is the bait to use and there isn't a way to use it in this trap. I ended up purchasing different traps that worked great using peanut butter as bait.

There are several advantages of this trap over other steel and plastic traps used before for this pricing it is worth it specially for motels where I placed it.This Trap has a very strong spring and is covered from all sides making it easier to hold and release. The door is slanting shaped, having no escape route or gap to breakout.The quality of trap is good built and even eye catching with some genius work of bait hook mechanism being well placed and effectively working.I baited it with bread first then I used a apple piece and it was caught right away!This is a highly performing and preferred humane trap.

It’s a excellent performing Trap. This winter I had a house mouse at my place whom I wanted to get rid off asap. I was looking for a No Kill humane trap cause previously I used sticky traps had a very bad experience as glue chemicals gave rats a painful ending and they cry for mercy the whole night making you feel guilty of bad karma.I searched on youtube for best rat catch and easy to remove rodent trap and accidentally I found this powerful product on a famous Mousetrap Monday channel.I liked Kris Kounty Mice go snapping trap for features being simple natural looking but very effective value for money trap with strong mesh and fast trigger mechanism that delivers authentic humane results when baited with strong scent protein bait. It’s easy to clean shaking it upside down and can be re-baited to catch more mice for future use.

I followed every step to the t and watched the mouse LICK and eat everything off the trigger without ever tripping it. Cute but not very functional and esp not for multiple catches. Did not catch any mice...perhaps bread or cheese but thats NOT easy to apply to this human trigger.
