Excellent aid to passing PCV
Excellent for the money.. I passed 1st time on the theory & hazard perception tests after only 15 mock goes with this.. I booked my tests beforehand and did 3 mock tests on an evening after kids had gone to bed.. You can track your weak areas and focus on that specific area.ONLY thing I will add is, on my hazard perception test was.. They were all the new CGI clips so watch them rather than the older clips..This CD is a good reminder, but in reality as a car driver/ bike rider-we all know practice this whilst on the road without even thinking about it!To finish.. The hazard perception & theory tests are just a cash cow for us drivers going for lgv/PCV tests as we're all aware /experienced and shouldn't have to resit the exact same test as a learner car driver /bike rider. As I will have a full ticket on completion of bus, I've had to pay the same £35 (for both tests) on 3 separate occasions (Cat A, Cat C [didn't have to do one for CE] & now Cat D)

All you need to pass your theory.
All you need to pass your theory. So I bought this for my partner who wants her get LGV 1 licence. Using this every day to practice the test for 6 weeks got her through, So on that I would recommend it.The theory questions where great, the hazard perception practice videos no so great, they are the old ones, sped up, and not clear at all, it gives you an idea, but it isn't the same as the real thing. So why not 5 stars, well, you have to have a Windows PC, which I don't have, I run Linux, I thought I could run this under WINE or a virtual server, but no, wouldn't have it, so I resurrected an elderly windows XP laptop, which it sort of worked on, but we ran into issues with the hazard perception tests, as it would crash if you wanted to review the results. Their technical support were good and tried to help, but Windows XP isn't supported either, so its a Windows 7 to 10 only really, if you don't have this operating system, you are going to run into issues. So on that and the hazard perception videos is why I knocked a star off.

All you need for a painless pass
I ordered 'The Complete LGV and PCV Theory and Hazard Perception Tests' DVD-ROM a couple of months ago to help me prepare for my Theory, Hazard perception and CPC tests. It arrived in good time and installed and booted up in no time at all. You'll be given the option to create a user profile which is a great feature because it allows you to track you progress as you use it. It monitors each of the different sections (eg. Vehicle weights and dimensions) and shows you what you need to revise. You then have the option to sit mock tests with only these weaker questions you've had trouble with before, which tailors the questions to you.The hazard perception aspect was good, while the videos are not the same ones used at the test centre and are slightly worse quality it does allow you to practice the principle of when to click (tip: Click a few times but not too quickly).I passed all 3 of my tests using only this DVD, I also had a theory test book to read but didn't bother to pick it up, this DVD is much better. It also covers 90% of what you'll be asked on the CPC case studies so that's an added bonus and no need to spend more money.

Outdated on many levels
Pretty outdated. Especially the hazard perception. DVLA uses rendered videos for a while now. This however still comes with videos shot on vhs in the 80s. Last sentence is about the quality of the videos.

Got me a first time pass.
The theory side of it is just perfect. Questions are set out as the theory test actually would be, and you can revise by reading the highway code via the program or by doing question sets with explanations. Just a good way of doing it.The hazard perception is out of date however. The hazard perception in this product uses actual realworld recordings, like tests used to do when I passed my car test a decade ago. However the REAL hazard perception now uses bizzare uncanney valley CGI videos instead. This actually makes the product more valuable counter intuitively as the realworld recordings in this have a lot more "noise" as in things just happening, whereas the CGI videos the test centre uses there's almost no noise so they're kind of easy. If you see something that isn't just traffic, it's almost certainly the hazard. So if you can pass the old style hazard perception in this product, the newer style will be much easier for you.
