DimplexBurgate BRG20 OptiMyst Black Electric Stove Remote Control Log Effect

Had this stove going for the last couple of days, fantastic best stove I have had ,without being the real thing.However actually I think this stove is better than the real thing ,so life like flames and smoke effect can't take my eyes of it .also to give it the authentic look I have bought a small coal bucket ,a tool set and to go on the top a cast iron teapot . Was thinking of beams on the ceiling ,however I was told maybe going to far in a flat on the second floor. Seriously though Dimplex well done

Fantastic product looks so real no problems at all have not had a problem with damp if you start it at the lowest setting and then turn it up after a few minutes its fine if you want a log fire without the mess then this is for yu

Nice looking fire with very good flame effect - if a bit fiddly!!Major problem with the remote control. It only works when you stand in front of the fire - very close. If you have to stand up and walk to the fire to make it work - what is the point of having it?Also the seller is VERY Un-cooperative.

Yes it is a beautiful fire, very realistic in fact the best imitation fire I have seen that is why I spent so much money on it. Here comes the BUT - after several hours of having the fire on my 20 x 15ft living room it fills up with a hazy mist, I'm not talking condensation I'm talking a very visible dry mist that hits the back of my throat and makes me cough. Condensation is due to high humidity in the room which opens up your airways and helps you breath easier, the haze this fire causes darn near chokes me. I arranged for an engineer to call who opened the fire door, lifted the moulded logs and declared "Yes is is misty in here but it has nothing to do with that fire". I should have taken it further but due to family problems at the time I didn't much to my regret. Now I have a very beautiful, very expensive fire that I never use. I write this only as a warning to anyone thinking of buying one of these fires as I honestly believe that mine is a hazard to my health. It would be very interesting to hear from anyone who has had the same problem.
