Clever and slyly funny. These books will get you sniggering and laughing out loud. Some of the humour is quite sophisticated, so don't be surprised if the adults enjoy the stories even more than the children.Nicholas is a terrible child, wise beyond his years, completely self -centred, supremely confident in his own ability to interpret others' reactions, completely oblivious to his blunders- a maddening , adorable, know-it-all .Stories to come back to time and time again for the sheer delight of them.Introduce Nicholas to your children and then re-introduce them when they are teens and are able to read between and beyond the lines.

The "hero" of the story is just adorable and the adventures good honest fun. I have such wonderful memories of learning to read French with Petit Nicolas. Great for kids and adults alike!

I bought these books as a gift for a friend learning French and it arrived with the box split open. Pretty disappointed.

Je l'ai acheté pour mes garçons de 12 et 9 ans. Ils adorent le lire le soir avant de s'endormir et moi j'adore les écouter me faire la lecture 😁Je recommande ce livre qui est tout simplement une merveille classique !

We enjoy reading this book very much. It's witty and there're 1-3 unknown words per page (for those who learn French in grades 5-7 of French immersion schools)
